The 2022 Mohawk Pageant will take place this Saturday, April 30th, in the PHS Middle Gym. Entry forms may be found in the PES office and the PHS office. Entry forms and fees may be turned through Saturday, April 30 or may be turned in to the PES and PHS offices. Please check the Piggott Mohawk Band Boosters Facebook page for more details.
The Sr. High baseball team will be in a regional qualifying game tomorrow vs. Gosnell at 1:00 at Rivercrest . Students wanting to go see the team play will need to have a written parental permission note. Students will need to turn in their notes into the front office. Students who have permission will be able to leave after 3rd period. Students who are testing will have to wait after the test is finished before leaving school. Students will need to check in with Coach Seegraves at the game . Students failing to check in at the game will be counted absent . Please allow at least an hour and a half to go to Rivercrest . This is a reminder for parents of students participating in the Mini Mohawk Cheerleading Clinic. We will be having our mini clinic performance and presentation of awards beginning at 4:30 pm, Friday, April 29th at the elementary school gym. We hope to see you there. The girls will still need to stay after school to get their t-shirts and review before the performance. Thank you for allowing your child to participate this week. Seniors: The deadline for most of the local scholarships is this Friday, April 29. We will not accept late submittals as this has been announced for several days. Parents of Juniors: PHS Prom is just around the corner. Next Friday, April 22nd, Junior parents will be hosting PHS After-Prom. We need your help chaperoning this fun, safe night for students . This can’t happen without us pulling together. We will need chaperones and volunteers to help with games, food, and prizes. Students received a sign-up form for After-Prom. These need to be filled out and returned to school by next Wednesday April 20th in order for your child to attend After-Prom.
We will be having our ACT awards assembly at 1:00 today in the gym all parents are invited. This is for 4th-6th grades.

Mohawk Nation: Parents, due to the increasing threat of inclement weather this afternoon, parents or guardinas may start picking up their students at noon today at their appropriate school. Students who are checked out at noon will not be counted absent for their afternoon classes. Car riders wil be dismissed at 1:20pm and buses will begin loading at ES at 1:30pm for dismissal. We want to make sure students and staff can make it home safely and be prepared for incoming weather. The HS safehouse will be made available in the event of tornado warnings in our area. Caleb Nottingham was involved in a serious accident yesterday evening . He is in stable condition at Regional One Hospital in Memphis and waiting on a neurosurgeon. April is Autism Awareness Month. Piggott Elementary will "Light it up Blue" this Friday, April 8. Everyone is asked to wear blue clothing and/or autism awareness tee to celebrate our students who have autism. Thank you!
The PHS & PJH Cheerleaders will be hosting a Mini Mohawk Cheer Clinic Monday, April 25, 2022 through Friday, April 29, 2022 at the elementary gym. The clinic is for girls who will be in Kindergarten through 6th grade during the 2021-2022 school year. Remember money and order forms are due by Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Tuesday, March 15, we will be taking spring pictures at the elementary. All students will get their pictures made. You will receive a proof in a couple of weeks and if you would like to order pictures you can do so then.
Attention FBLA parents: The pizza kits are arriving early. Please pick up between 3:30 and 5:45 in the high school cafeteria. Pizza kits are frozen upon arrival and we have no storage for them. Items must be picked up today.
Seniors - Senior cap and gown composite pictures will be taken tomorrow, Monday, March 14, starting at 8 a.m. There will NOT be a make-up day. There will be a $10 sitting fee that must be paid the day of the pictures. The sitting fee will include an 8 x 10 copy of the senior composite. Boys should wear a collared button down shirt and girls should wear a dressy top or blouse. Bring your cap and gown to school. Thank you!
