Mohawk Nation: The Piggott Elementary went in a green lockdown this afternoon after potential gun shots were being heard in the neighborhood. The playground was cleared and students went into the building. Administration and school resource officer investigated and found no real threat to our students. The safety of our students and staff of are utmost importance. Go Mohawks!

Reminder: There will be a football parent meeting Thursday, November 13 at 6pm in the HS cafeteria. Agenda: To discuss the 26-28 athletic cycle for football. All parents of football players in current grades 6-11 are encouraged to attend.

Reminder-Tomorrow, November 11, is the last day to turn in makeup picture order forms.

Senior Night is tomorrow at Parker Field inside Hunter Midkiff Memorial Stadium, beginning at 6:30 PM. Come out to support and honor our senior band members, senior cheerleaders, and senior football players. Go Mohawks!!

Mohawk Nation: The Marching Mohawks take the field in the 2025 State Band Competition at 8:45am this morning. Arkansas PBS is supposed to televise the competition today. We will also be Facebook live streaming the Mohawks performance also on the Piggott Band Facebook page and the High School Facebook page. If we have difficulty, we will post the performance as soon as we can. I encourage you to tune in and watch this amazing band's performance! Go Marching Mohawks!

Reminder: Daylight Saving Time Ends This Weekend

Don’t forget to set clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, so enjoy an extra hour of sleep and be on time for Sunday activities.

PeeWee Cheerleaders will have practice right after school tomorrow, October 29, until 4:00. Cheerleaders will need a note from parents saying they are able to stay for practice. Thank you!

This week we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week. These are our dress-up days: Monday-Wear Red, Tuesday-Wear Pajamas, Wednesday-Wear your Favorite Season/Holiday, Thursday-Wear Camouflage and Friday-Wear your Costume (NO MASKS) We are also having our canned food drive. Check Facebook for a list of requested items. The classroom with the most items will have a donut party!

Mohawk Nation: Let's give a big shout out to the Marching Mohawks for their regional marching competition performance that qualifies them for the state competition on November 4, 2025. Stay tuned for information regarding there performance time! Great job Marching Mohawks!

Reminder our Fall Festival will be this Friday, October 24. We are preselling tickets this Thursday and Friday morning from 7:30-8:00 in the Parent Center. Tickets are $10 for 230. If you have any questions please call the elementary office. Thank you!

Mohawk Nation: The Lady Mohawks will be playing for the Regional Championship tomorrow, Oct. 22, 2025. We will be organizing a pep bus that will leave campus around noon. It will be limited to the first 45 students that sign up. The students must have the following: 1) Passing grades in all academic classes and no discipline issues. 2) Permission slip from parent/guardian 3) Email Ms. Nanney at Andrea.nanney@piggottschools.net notifying her you want a seat. 4) Must show proof of ticket purchased prior to getting on bus. Mohawk Nation: Lady Mohawks defeat the ICC Cougars 3-0 to advance to the regional semi final game tomorrow at 2pm! The win advances them to the state tournament next week! The Piggott School District is also hosting the Annual Report to the public tonight at 6pm in the HS Library. Everyone is invited to attend!

The Lady Mohawks are set to tip at noon today against ICC in the first round of the 2A regional tournament. You can catch the match live on youtube search for Twin Lakes Sports Network and catch the action. Go Mohawks!

Piggott High School will host the 2025 2A state Volleyball Tournament starting Monday, October 27, 2025. 1st round games begin at noon on Monday and Tuesday with the semi finals being played on Wednesday beginning at 2pm. Tickets MUST BE purchased online, no exceptions. Only AAA approved passes can be accepted. Below is the link to purchase tickets, be sure to select the correct state tournament and date:
