Mohawk Nation: The Piggott Police Department has notified the school of a couple of suspicious vehicles that have been reported possibly trying to lure students toward their vehicles within the last couple of weeks. To assure you that we take these reports seriously, all staff have been notified and will keep extra eyes open for these vehicles. The vehicle descriptions are an older model Burgundy van and a tan/gold color Yukon. Please alert the Piggott Police Department if your child has been approached with any vehicle. Also, please remind your students never to approach a strange vehicle especially when they are offering some type of goody like candy, puppies, free rides, etc. We want to do our best to protect our Mohawks! Mohawk Nation: Due to the extreme heat indexes forecasted for Monday, August 18 the Football Jamboree at Westside Consolidated schools in Jonesboro has been postponed until Thursday, August 21, 2025 with the junior high starting at 6:30pm. Come out and support your Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District will start the 2025-2026 school year tomorrow, August 13, 2025. Student and staff safety is the utmost importance on our campuses. Here are a few reminders as we begin a new year:
1) Please stop in both directions when buses are stopped and their red lights and stop sign are engaged and flashing.
2) Be patient when dropping off students in the car rider lines, we always have a lot of traffic the first days of school. Remember NO CELLPHONES USAGE in car rider lines. Handsfree or handheld.
3) Obey all traffic laws and traffic flow.
We expect to have a great year and with your help we can make it the very best. GO MOHAWKS!

All fall outdoor sports & activities participants & their parents need to be in attendance for our annual “Beat the Heat” meeting. This meeting will take place in the High School cafeteria at 5:30 PM on Monday, July 28th.
Reminder: There will be a cheer parent meeting in the High School Library tonight at 6pm. Please park in the parking lot across from the Old Gym and enter the building through the double doors. We look forward to seeing everyone. Go Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: We are putting down new asphalt on our HS student parking lot and District office. We ask people to staff off those parking lots until we get the stripping complete. It should be finished by Thursday, July 3, 2025. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
The Piggott School District office and both campus offices will be closed Thursday, July 3, 2025 in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen Monday, July 7, 2025. We are wishing everyone a safe 4th of July!

PHS Parents - Report cards are now available on the eSchool Portal. found at https://www.piggottschools.net. After logging in, click on Grades, and then Report Card. A paper copy of the report card may also be picked up in the high school office M- Th from 8-3.
The 4th graders will be performing their play at 9:00 tomorrow (May 20). Please send a $1 for your child to watch the play. There will be another performance that starting at 6:30 in the elementary gym.
All family and friends are invited to the 4th grade play tomorrow (Tues.) at 6:30 in the elem gym. All 4th graders need to report to elem gym at 6 pm. They need to be wearing their red play t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. The award ceremony will be held directly after play.
Kindergarten graduation will be tonight at 7:00 pm. The elementary doors will not be unlocked until 6:30. All kindergarten students need to be here at 6:30. The teachers want only one parent to walk their child down to the classroom at that time.
Piggott is under a tornado warning until about 7:53pm. The HS safe house is open for your safety.
Mohawk Nation: My how time flies! The Piggott School District is nearing the end of another school year. We appreciate everyone's support in making this year a success. We just have a few more days next week for some semester tests at the high school. On Thursday, May 22nd the Piggott School District will dismiss at 1:00pm for summer break.
