Parents the elementary doors will not be unlocked until 6:30 p.m. tonight. All kindergarten students need to be in their classrooms by 6:45 p.m. Hope to see you all there.
Attention Parents: There will be no summer school this summer at the Piggott School District. We will still offer the summer feeding program. Breakfast will be served from 8am-9am and lunch will be served from 11:30am-12:30pm. All meals will be grab and go. Meals for the month of June will be at the Elementary Cafeteria and in July at the High School Cafeteria. There will be no meals offered the week of July 3rd-7th. We hope everyone enjoys their summer vacation.
Attention Parents and Students: The Piggott School District will release school one hour early on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2pm. Car riders and bus riders will be released from Elementary School at 2pm, so expect students that ride the bus to be home approximately an hour early on Friday, May 26th. This is a message for 6th grade parents. If your child is going to be in any sport for the 2023-2024 school year, they will be doing physicals for the 6th grade students on, Tuesday, May 23 from 10:00-2:00 at the New Gym at the High School.
This is a reminder that the 4th grade play with be tomorrow, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. They want all students to be at the elementary school at 6:15. Hope to see all of you there!

Any student borrowing a school owned band instrument will need to turn it in the night of the 6th grade graduation so they may be cleaned and repaired, if needed. If you will not be at graduation, please turn it in by the end of the week.
The Band Awards Banquet will be tomorrow May 12 at 5:30 pm in the High School Cafeteria. This is not required but is encouraged for all band members. There will be a taco bar provided in part by the band boosters. If you can help bring some items for this please contact a band director or Michelle Foster.
Tomorrow will be track and field day for 4th and 5th graders. It will start at 8:30 at the football track and parents are welcome to come watch. Please make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes and brings a water bottle.
Parents you are welcome to attend the 3rd and 6th grade track and field day tomorrow, May 9. It will be at the football field track and it will start at 8:30 a.m.
For 6th grade band students - The young musicians workshop and end of the year trip is this Wednesday, May 10th. Please return the permission slips by Monday, May 8th. If you have any questions, contact the band directors by calling the high school. Thank you!
Tomorrow will be our Spring Fest. Students will be playing outside most of the day. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately. The students will be having hamburger and hotdogs for lunch. Your child's lunch account will be charged like normal.

Kindergarten graduation pictures will be taken Wednesday morning. Please try to wear a collared shirt that day. You will be sent home a proof at a later date for you to order pictures.
BMI Screenings for K, 2, 4 and 6 grades will begin Monday, May 1, along with scoliosis screenings for just 6th grade girls. Forms were previously sent home, if you do NOT want your student screened, them return the signed form by Monday.
The Piggott School District will host the 3A-3 Conference Baseball and Softball tournaments starting Monday, April 24 starting at 4pm. Admission for games will be $5/person. Since this a district event, everyone ages 5 years old and up must pay to enter. Arkansas Activity Association cards will be the only card accepted for these games.
If you are interested in your child(ren) attending Piggott Public Schools for the 2023-24 school year and are NOT a resident of the Piggott School District attendance area you have until May 1, 2023 to submit a school choice application. Go Mohawks!
