Mohawk Nation: Due to safety concerns for students and staff that drive into school, the Piggott School District will be closed Monday, February 2, 2026. We will re-evaluate tomorrow and update everyone as soon as a decision is made for Tuesday. We appreciate everyone's patience and we hope you understand the reason for this decision is the safety of our students and staff. Go Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: After much thought and review of our side streets and county roads, the Piggott School District will remain closed through Friday, January 30, 2026. We will update everyone over the weekend in regards to school on Monday, February 2, 2026. We will update everyone as to when basketball games will be played when we have that information. Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District will remain closed for Wednesday, January 28, 2027. We are removing snow/ice from parking lots and sidewalks and will monitor road conditions to determine any future closures. If we return to school this week, we would be using Snow Routes. The Piggott School District will be closed Tuesday, January 27, 2026 due to recent snow storm. We are attempting to clear parking lots and sidewalks. Stay safe and stay warm. We will continue to follow up with additional information as it is available.. Go Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026. The campuses will be assessed today and decisions about further closures will be announced daily. We encourage everyone to stay in, stay warm, and stay safe. All extra curricular activities will be postponed until further notice. Go Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District will monitor weather conditions over the next few days. The main objective is the safety of our students and staff and travel conditions to and from school. If we close school for any day next week, we will use this platform, KAIT, the Piggott School Website, and Campus Facebook pages to put out any alerts due to closures, late starts, or early dismissals. If we are able to open and use Snow Routes, we will send out that information through those same platforms as well. We hope you keep your family safe and warm through this weather event. Go Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: Reminders: The 2026 Basketball Homecoming ceremony is tonight between the Junior High and Senior High games, approximately around 7pm. There will be a homecoming presentation during the school day today at 9:30am.

The Piggott School District will be closed Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. School will resume Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The Piggott School District will host the 2026 District, Regional, and State Volleyball tournaments. Let's Go Mohawks!

This week we will be celebrating Basketball Homecoming Spirit Week. Here are the dress-up days: Monday will be Pajama Day, Tuesday will be Black Out Day, Wednesday will be Western Day, Thursday will be Patriotic Day and Friday will be School Spirit Day.

Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District will close at the end of school today for Christmas Break. School will resume Tuesday, January 6, 2026 for the start of the 3rd nine weeks. Teachers/staff will report back on Monday, January 5, 2026 for Professional Development. We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope you enjoy your Christmas Break.

Also, the Athletic Dead Period during Christmas Break will be December 24, 25, & 26, 2025. All athletic facilities will be closed during this time!

7th & 8th Grade Parents: Your student is bringing home a paper indicating which semester exams they are required to take and which exams they are exempt from. In addition, the paper includes reminders about the review day/ exam attendance policy and student checkout procedures. Please ask your student to share this information with you. If your student is exempt from all exams, they are excused next week. Have a great weekend!
