6th Grade Girls who are interested in trying out for Jr. High Cheerleading need to bring in completed tryout information packets and be prepared to practice after school this Tuesday-Thursday till 5:00 in the Middle Gym at PHS. Tryouts will be this Friday after school.

Mohawk Nation: Due to icy conditions around campus and continued collection of freezing rain on roadways, trees, powerlines the Piggott School District will be CLOSED to on-site instruction for Friday, February 25, 2022. This will be AMI Day #10. Any future days will have to be made up at the end of the school year. Elementary students should have AMI Packet #10 work to complete and High School Students should continue to work through Google Classroom for their instruction. Due to the inclement weather the Piggott School District will be closed on Thursday, February 24, 2022 to on-site instruction. Elementary students should have AMI Packet #9 to work on for their classroom instruction and High School Students should find their classwork through Google Classroom for classwork. Mohawk Nation: We will be monitoring weather reports throughout the morning. Several schools to our south and west are dismissing at 1pm today. We want to keep the safety of our students, bus drivers, and staff at the forefront in making any decision to dismiss early. At this time, we will continue to monitor weather conditions and WILL NOT make any decisions to DISMISS early before 11am today. As of right now, our plans are to complete the school day today and monitor weather reports and road conditions for possible school closure for Thursday and Friday. TOMORROW Friday, February 11, will be a HAT DAY at High School. All proceeds will go to Make A Wish. Stickers will be sold for $1 before 1st period in the H.S. cafeteria. There will also be someone coming around to collect at the beginning of 2nd period.

A fire alarm discharged this morning at the Piggott High School. It was an alarm malfunction, no fire or other issues on campus. Students exited the building upon the alarm and have safely returned to their classrooms.
