7th & 8th Grade Parents: Your student is bringing home a paper indicating which semester exams they are required to take and which exams they are exempt from. In addition, the paper includes reminders about the review day/ exam attendance policy and student checkout procedures. Please ask your student to share this information with you. If your student is exempt from all exams, they are excused next week. Have a great weekend!
PHS Parents: Piggott High School will host a guest presenter tomorrow who will speak to students about making positive choices and overcoming adversity. The presenter is a Marine veteran and a formerly incarcerated individual who now works in mental health and shares his personal experiences to help others. His message includes topics such as consequences, sexual trauma, substance use, perseverance, and the impact of suicide.
Because some of these subjects may be sensitive for students, parents/guardians may choose to opt their child out of attending the presentation. If you prefer for your child not to attend, please call the high school office by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow to request an opt-out.
Students who are opted out will be provided an alternate supervised location during the presentation.
If you have any questions, please contact the high school office.

9th-12th Grade Parents & Guardians,
Arkansas public school students have the opportunity to participate in assessments that support their individual academic goals under Act 724 of 2025. These optional tests include the ACT, SAT, and CLT. Students are not required to participate unless they choose to.
Mrs. Amber Harrell, our high school counselor, will be meeting with your child this week to help them determine if they wish to take one of these assessments.
If you have questions about the tests or the selection process, please reach out to Mrs. Amber at amber.harrell@piggottschools.net.
We encourage families to look over the information sheet with details about each assessment to help students make the best choice for their goals.
