Due to the play off games on Tuesday the pee wee cheerleaders and the mini mohawk cheerleaders will practice on Monday right after school until 4:30. They must have a note to stay for practice. There will not be no practice on Tuesday.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 18, is the kindergarten field trip to Pumpkin Hollow. The bus will be leaving the school at 8:45.. Please dress your child in comfy clothes, tennis shoes and a jacket. You can either follow the bus or meet us there.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 18, is the 1st grade field trip to Begg's Farm. All students need to be here no later that 7:40. Make sure your child has had breakfast before they come to school. Also, have your child wear tennis shoes and either a jacket or a sweatshirt.

FINAL REMINDER: All Pee Wee Basketball forms and money needs to be turned in ASAP. You can turn everything into the elementary office. If you have any question please contact Billy Joe Seal.

Reminder: Elementary FLU clinic will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16th. If you would like your child to receive the free FLU shot, please sign and return the papers that were previously sent home.

The Pee Wee Cheerleaders and the students that participated in the Mini Mohawk Cheer Clinic in the spring have been invited to perform with the High School Cheerleaders for the halftime performance at the home football game on Friday, October 25th. This performance is optional. We will have practice after school on Tuesday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 22nd. All students will need to be picked up by 4:30 p.m. Students must have a note with parent's permission to stay after school for practice. Thank you, Mrs. Haley

Students that participated in the Mohawk Mini Clinic, grades K-6, and that are Pee Wee cheerleaders are invited to perform in a special halftime performance for our SR high pink out game Oct. 25. Practice will be held Tuesday, October 15, after school in the elementary gym until 4:30. All participants need to wear their t-shirts to the game and any pink accessories are welcome (socks, stickers, bows and paint).

1:15pm--Homecoming Pep Rally in Middle Gym.
2:00pm--Homecoming Parade--HS gym parking lot, down Poplar Street, Mohawk Drive to Main Street, around courthouse square and back to HS parking lot.
6:00pm--Homecoming Royalty Presentation at Hunter Midkiff Stadium.
7:00pm--Piggott Mohawks v. Harrisburg Hornets.

Due to weather conditions, Parker Pioneer Homestead has asked us to reschedule our field trip. Instead of Friday, September 27, we will be going next Thursday, October 3. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Reminder: Please turn in your money and permission slip for your child to go on their 3rd grade field trip by the end of today. If this poses a problem, contact your child's teacher.

Grandparent's Day for Pre-school will be Friday, September 20, at 1:30.. Grandparents will need to come into the elementary building and then they will meet their grandchildren in the cafeteria.

Mohawk Nation: After lengthy investigation of the recent rumors of violence at our school district, we have determined that it was just rumors that students were spreading. These students are being dealt with. These rumors stem from a Tik Tok trend that is encouraging students to spread rumors of acts of violence to create panic at their school. Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District administration in conjunction with the Piggott Police and Clay County Sheriff’s office are investigating some accusations of threats of violence that have been made toward our school district. At present time no substantial evidence has been found to be credible. Please talk with your child(ren) tonight to see if you can find any pertinent information and please contact my office at 870.598.2572 if you have any credible information. These threats have originated from a TikTok video and it is affecting school districts across the state of Arkansas and the region.
