Fourth grade play, Making a Difference, is tomorrow. Students may bring $1.00 for admission. You are invited to the performance at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a donation. Come support the fourth grade students!

This morning, we heard the extremely sad news that Gabe Templeman passed away last night. I know we are all saddened by his death and send our condolences to his family and friends. Counselors will be available today, May 21st until 3:00 p.m., Saturday May 22nd 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the high school and all day Monday. Information about the funeral will be provided when it is available.

Students: There is a 2020-21 yearbook in the PHS office purchased by Hunter Midkiff's father. If you would like to write in it as a memorial to Hunter, you may come by today (Friday) till 3 or during the school day next week to do so.

Piggott High School will have the end of year Class Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 25 in the new gymnasium. 7 and 8th grade awards will be at 1:00 p.m. 9-11th awards will begin at 1:30. Parents are invited to attend. No letters will be mailed but attempts will be made to notify students and/or parents if the student is receiving an award.

This is just a reminder: Kindergarten graduation will be tomorrow, May 20, at 7:00 in the elementary gymnasium. Kindergarten students must be here by 6:45. We hope everyone can attend.

Graduation DVDs - Ordered dvds are now ready in the high school office for pick-up.

Seniors and Parent: Mr. Frank Staples will be taking pictures today of the graduates right after receiving the diploma and in the cafeteria following the ceremony. The order form is attached and there will be copies available in the cafeteria after the ceremony.


The Piggott High School Graduation of the Class of 2021 will be held today, Sunday, May 16 at 3:00 p.m. in the High School New Gymnasium. Guests are invited but all guests must wear masks. Doors will open at 2:00 p.m.

Seniors will meet in the library at 9:00 on Friday morning, May 14. We will then clean out lockers and proceed to the New Gym for Practice. At approximately 10:30 we will have the Senior Awards ceremony. You should have been notified if you are receiving an award and you can invite your parents. Also, the balance of your the dues that you paid last year will be refunded to you after practice. You will be given cash and will sign that you received it. Also, don't forget that the baccalaureate service is tonight at New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard beginning at 6:30, line up time is 6:15. Ok Seniors, just a little longer. See you tomorrow.

As seniors, you have the opportunity to give a Life Impact Diploma to someone in the school system who has had a positive impact on your life. It could be a teacher from elementary, a custodian, an administrator, etc. Mrs. Natalie will create the diplomas and give them to you. You will then present them to the person you have chosen. It is nice to also tell the person why you chose to give them the diploma. If you want to give a Life Impact Diploma to someone, give Mrs. Natalie their name by WEDNESDAY, MAY 12. They will be ready for you at Graduation practice on Friday.

Baccalaureate Service -- Attention Seniors: New Hope Baptist Church is hosting this year's Baccalaureate Service for the Class of 2021. This will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 in the Hope Center at New Hope. All graduates and family members are welcome. Please bring your cap and gown as you will march in to your seating. There will be music and a speaker followed by a reception to honor the seniors. We are grateful to New Hope Baptist Church for hosting this service.

Graduation practice will be this Friday, May 14. We will meet at 9:00 in the library. If we have a senior video, we will watch this before going over to the gym for practice. If not, we will check the lockers for items left and walk over the gym for practice. This will last for approximately 1- 1/2 hrs. Then we will have a short Senior Awards assembly. We should be out before noon. If everyone is on time, we will get started earlier and finish earlier. This is required to participate in the graduation ceremony on Sunday. You will need to take off from work for this practice. If you have any questions, please contact one of your sponsors.

Monday, May 10, is the last day to turn in orders for Spring Pictures.

All seniors meet at 8:45 at the New Gym Parking Lot with cap and gowns and MASKS to ride the bus to the Elementary School. This way you won't have to worry about where to park at elem, etc. We will all go in together in the doorway by Mrs. Amber Murray's classroom and the music will be played throughout the building. We will then board the bus to come back to the New Gym. Seniors going on the trip will take care of their caps/gowns and get back on the bus. Seniors not going on the trip will be dismissed for the day. Those going on the trip, you will get your Senior t-shirt in the morning. Remember no drinks except bottled with lids and you will need a mask about both places tomorrow. We will have the entire section 110 that is close to the home dugout for our group. Food and drinks at Incredible pizza is covered and it is $1 hot dog night at the game. If you have not already turned in your permission form, it must be turned in before we leave.
