Attention FBLA parents: The pizza kits are arriving early. Please pick up between 3:30 and 5:45 in the high school cafeteria. Pizza kits are frozen upon arrival and we have no storage for them. Items must be picked up today.
Tuesday, March 15, we will be taking spring pictures at the elementary. All students will get their pictures made. You will receive a proof in a couple of weeks and if you would like to order pictures you can do so then.
Seniors - Senior cap and gown composite pictures will be taken tomorrow, Monday, March 14, starting at 8 a.m. There will NOT be a make-up day. There will be a $10 sitting fee that must be paid the day of the pictures. The sitting fee will include an 8 x 10 copy of the senior composite. Boys should wear a collared button down shirt and girls should wear a dressy top or blouse. Bring your cap and gown to school. Thank you!

Summer baseball and softball sign-ups are underway. To sign up, go to the Piggott Youth Baseball/Softball Facebook page and use the online form. We would love to see lots of participation.
Attention Fbla parents: The Little Caesar's pizza kits will be delivered one day next week. Mrs. Peters will announce the delivery day as soon as it is available.
6th Grade Girls who are interested in trying out for Jr. High Cheerleading need to bring in completed tryout information packets and be prepared to practice after school this Tuesday-Thursday till 5:00 in the Middle Gym at PHS. Tryouts will be this Friday after school.
According to KAIT8 News report, Piggott is all clear for now. The tornado shelter is being closed but will open up if we have any further tornado warnings issued for our area. Stay safe Mohawks!
HS Tornado Shelter is open. Piggott and Clay County is under a tornado warning until 6:15pm. The shelter will remain open until the all clear is given.
Clay County has been issued a tornado watch. In the event we are issued a tornado warning the safe house at the HS will be open to the public.
There was reported that the HS Cafeteria was on fire. That is a false report. The Piggott Fire Department has been on campus conducting their monthly fire drill. Please disregard the false report. Thank You!
Mohawk Nation: Due to icy conditions around campus and continued collection of freezing rain on roadways, trees, powerlines the Piggott School District will be CLOSED to on-site instruction for Friday, February 25, 2022. This will be AMI Day #10. Any future days will have to be made up at the end of the school year. Elementary students should have AMI Packet #10 work to complete and High School Students should continue to work through Google Classroom for their instruction. All work should be turned in next week. Hopefully this will be the last of this wintry mess. Be safe, Stay Warm, Be Mohawk Strong!
Due to the inclement weather the Piggott School District will be closed on Thursday, February 24, 2022 to on-site instruction. Elementary students should have AMI Packet #9 to work on for their classroom instruction and High School Students should find their classwork through Google Classroom for classwork. Mohawk Nation: We will be monitoring weather reports throughout the morning. Several schools to our south and west are dismissing at 1pm today. We want to keep the safety of our students, bus drivers, and staff at the forefront in making any decision to dismiss early. At this time, we will continue to monitor weather conditions and WILL NOT make any decisions to DISMISS early before 11am today. As of right now, our plans are to complete the school day today and monitor weather reports and road conditions for possible school closure for Thursday and Friday. TOMORROW Friday, February 11, will be a HAT DAY at High School. All proceeds will go to Make A Wish. Stickers will be sold for $1 before 1st period in the H.S. cafeteria. There will also be someone coming around to collect at the beginning of 2nd period.
A fire alarm discharged this morning at the Piggott High School. It was an alarm malfunction, no fire or other issues on campus. Students exited the building upon the alarm and have safely returned to their classrooms.
