Reminder: This week we will be celebrating Grandparent's Week. Today will be 2nd and 6th grade, Tuesday is 1st and 5th grade, Wednesday is Kindergarten and Pre-School and Thursday is 3rd and 4th grade. We will start letting grandparents go to the classrooms at 1:30.
Tomorrow, September 15, is the last day to order yearbooks at a discounted price. PES yearbooks start at $35 and PHS yearbooks start at $45. You will receive four icons with the purchase of personalization for $7. Orders may be turned in at school or by ordering online at jostensyearbooks.com
The September regular schedule Board meeting of the Piggott School District will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 5:30pm in the Piggott School District Board room.

We are beginning to see a few cases of Covid 19 within our school district. Please make sure you are monitoring any possible symptoms and contact our school nurses(Stephanie Threatt @ Elementary School and Paula Simmons @ High School), if unsure of whether to send your student to school. The Elementary Mohawk t-shirt order forms we sent home Friday are due by August 30. You can order t-shirt sizes from youth all they way up to adult sizes. T-shirts are $20 and the crew neck sweatshirt are $25. If you have any questions please call the elementary school.
Due to the excessive heat advisories for the week the Jr High and Sr High football game start times have been pushed back to a 7:30pm start time.
Admission prices are the same as last year. $5/adult and Piggott Students are free. Students 6th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Gates will open thirty minutes prior to game time.

Good Morning Mohawk Nation! We are almost there! Wednesday, August 16 will be the first day of the 2023-24 school year and we are excited to have all of our Mohawks back on campus. Here are just a few reminders to help in making the first day the best day ever.
If your student(s) plan on riding the bus, please be sure to have them out a little earlier near the bus stop so our drivers can see them and prepare to stop. We do not want to miss anyone. We will load buses in the afternoons at the ES at 3:05pm, so if you plan on picking your student up and you do not want them to be a bus rider, please contact the ES by 2:15pm each day so we can communicate with their teacher that they will be a car rider that day.
If you plan on dropping off your students for the first day please remember to drop off Elementary Students at the back of the building in the car rider line. Please remember do not use cell phones in this area for safety reasons. Please be patient for the first few days because we expect a larger than normal amount of traffic the first few days.
Please remember to complete a lunch room form to see if you qualify for Free or Reduced lunch prices. This year, if your family qualifies for reduced meal prices, those meals will be free of charge!

Change of Venue: The Annual Back Pack Bash that will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 9:30am-11:30am, has been moved from the Hemingway-Pfeifer grounds to the Piggott First General Baptist Church's Family Life Center located at 679 S. Summer Feeding Program Update: Attention Parents and Students. After consideration and talking with staff, the Piggott Summer Feeding Program WILL CONTINUE to serve meals from the Elementary School Cafeteria for the remainder of the Summer 2023 feeding cycle. We will resume serving meals on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the same times and will continue to serve from the Elementary Cafeteria. Thank you for your understanding! Go Mohawks!
Reminder: The Piggott School District is serving breakfast and lunch throughout the summer. Breakfast will be served from 8-9am and lunch served from 11:30am-12:30pm. Students 18 and under eat free. Adults may eat for $2.50 for breakfast and $4.00 for lunch. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday during these times at the elementary building. Please pull through the car rider line. The meals will be served as a grab and go meal. Go Mohawks!
