The Lady Mohawk basketball games v. Marked Tree for tonight have been canceled.
Reminder: Tomorrow our Annual Food Drive begins. The grade level that brings the most items will get a popcorn party. Only the following designated items will count towards totals for that day. Monday-canned vegetables, Tuesday-instant potato packages and boxed macaroni and cheese, Wednesday-canned fruit, Thursday-dessert items including packaged cookies and snack cakes and Friday-stuffing packages, gravy packets and jars of peanut butter. Thank you for helping us provide holiday food boxes for our families in need.

The regularly scheduled board meeting for November has been moved to Monday, November 13th. The meeting will be held in the Administration Building at 6:00p.m.
Reminder: Students that test positive for FLU/COVID 19 are required to stay home for at least 5 days. Students with a fever over 100.0 are required to be fever free for 48 hours before returning to school.

For the Fall Festival - Kids are not allowed to stay after school. Please enter through the playground gates at 3:30. The school will be locked. You will also be able to purchase tickets for the same price 20 tickets for $10. We hope to see everyone there!!
Fun for the WHOLE family - Fall Festival will be Friday, October 27. It will be at the elementary playground, from 3:30-6:00. Games will be 1 ticket - cake walk, pick up ducks, karaoke, plinko and much more. Food will be 2 tickets - fried oreos, hot dogs, cotton candy, sodas and more. There will be Fall pictures for $3 and pictures taken with a live kangaroo for $5. We hope to see everyone there!!!
Presale tickets for the Fall Festival will be on sale Thursday and Friday morning. The tickets will be sold in the Parent Center starting at 7:30. Tickets are 20 tickets for $10.00.
School picture make-up day will be tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Children who were absent on the first picture day need to have their pictures taken on make-up day. If you would like to have your child's picture retaken, you will need to return the proof and pay a retake fee. Preschool - 11th grade retake fee is $5. Senior retake fee is $10.
Reminder: Tomorrow, October 13, is the last day to order the PES Mohawk t-shirts. These are the t-shirts that we are offering a second chance on. We have order forms in the office if anyone needs one. Thank you!
Mohawk Nation: The Piggott School District has made a few adjustments to the school calendar that you need to be aware of. We have added four snow make up days, just in case we are in need them to make up any days due to inclement weather. We no longer are able to use AMI days, so any missed day will be made up at the first available Snow Make Up Date. The Dates are: January 2, January 15, February 19, and March 15. We are also moving the No School Day of April 12 to Monday, April 8 so people can enjoy time with their students and observe the Solar Eclipse that is to occur that date. The school picture proofs went home today. The return date on the flyer is September 18 but the flyer should of had October 18 as the return date.
The Grand Opening of the Black River Technical School will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 10am. The event will take place on the West side of the building with a few speeches and a ribbon cutting. After the opening ceremony, attendees will then get to tour the facility and enjoy some light refreshments. All are welcome to attend.
