
Piggott Schools will be back in session face-to-face on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020. High School students should bring their Chromebooks daily. Students who enrolled in virtual school will continue remote learning.

With the rising numbers of Covid cases and the difficulty of finding subs for our teachers, the Piggott Schools grades K-12 will be going fully virtual Tues. Sept 15 - Fri. Sept 18, 2020. We will reassess our situation at this time. Preschool will remain open- parents will be responsible for transportation to and from school. MONDAY, Sept. 14 will be a normal day. We will had out chrome books and allow students to gather books or supplies needed for Virtual learning from home.

Seniors, Your cap and gown orders are due tomorrow, Friday, September 11. You can order online at www.jostens.com or can turn order forms in to Mrs. Natalie. Please turn your order in tomorrow even if you do not have your deposit. This will guarantee you get the group shipping rate on your cap and gown.

Virtual students grades 7-12 need to check their email. Mrs. Natalie has sent you a Google form that needs to be completed by 9am tomorrow, Friday, September 11.

Homecoming T-shirts Orders will be taken through this Friday, Sept. 11. Short Sleeve T-shirts only for $17 for adult sizes S-XL $19 for 2XL , etc., youth sizes $15. T-shirts must be paid for in advance. Order forms are to be turned in to Mrs. Little or FCCLA will also be taking orders at the Sr. High Football game vs. Highland at home on Friday night. There is a picture of the front of the shirt on the school's website. It is heather red in color and has Hunter Strong and the number 56 on the front and all the names of 7th Gr, Jr High, and Sr High football players, Cheerleaders, and Homecoming Royalty on the back. This year's Homecoming Shirts will be dedicated to Hunter Midkiff and a portion of the profits will be given to a Memorial Scholarship fund in honor of Hunter.

There will be a public school board meeting on Tuesday Sept. 8th. The meeting will be at 5:30 in the Elementary School Library. The regular monthly meeting will be held directly after the public meeting.

Pee-Wee football sign-ups will be Saturday, September 5. This is for boys grades 3rd-6th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. This will be at the old gym (behind First National Bank). The cost is $20. A helmet and shoulder pads will be provided. Thank you!

If you suspect your child is having symptoms or has been in close contact Covid-19, contact your local health department or primary care physician ASAP. If your child is sent home from school for any signs/symptoms of Covid-19, they will need to contact the health dept. or their PCP for further instructions before returning to school. If your child is out for quarantine for positive test results, close contact exposure, waiting to be tested or waiting on test results, the student can do their assignments virtually until able to return to school. There will be grief counseling available on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. The high school building will have rooms available. This is for anyone needing counseling in the community and school (including all staff members and students). Please continue to lift up the Hunter's family and our community in your prayers.
