Students – if you get locked out of the building you will need to enter through the front office.  Do not knock on the doors.  This interrupts classes.

 

Work Keys Test ---- Juniors and Seniors:  The Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority has donated (8) $100 gift cards for our students who pass all 3 sections of the Work Keys test.  If we have more than 8 who pass all 3 tests, we will draw names for the gift cards.  Let Mrs. Amber know if you want to take the test.  We plan on testing on November 15, 16, & 17

 

All cheerleaders (jr and sr high) and 8-12 band will be performing during the PES Red Ribbon Rally on October 24th. They should be allowed to eat 1st lunch and dismissed from class for the remainder of the day. 

 

The following FCCLA members will be attending the Region 3 Planning and Election meeting in Jonesboro on Wed. Oct. 26:

Chloe Sexton, Haley Hanners, Maddy Wintizer, Dixie Book, Ashlyn Bearden, Emily Conley, Kaydience Wires, Taylor Blackwell, Taylor Peters, Jeanel Vaughn, and Olivia Sexton.

 

 

See Mrs. Amber if you are interested in taking concurrent Biology in the Spring.  Registration opens November 7.  You must have a 19 on the Reading section of the ACT.

 

Ms. Sadie will have breast cancer awareness buttons and tattoos for sale in her room for $1 each. Please stop by anytime. 

 

Chess practice will be every Thursday right after school until 4:15. 

 

FCCLA will sponsor a costume contest again this year on Halloween (Monday October 31st). Students may wear a school appropriate costume. If you choose to wear a costume that day you must pay $1.00 even if you are entering the contest or not.  FCCLA members will come around during 1st and 2nd hours to collect the $1.00 and mark your hand.  During, 3rd hour there will be an announcement of the location of the contest for those who want to enter.  There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for students and the same for teachers.  Cash prizes to be announced closer to the contest date.

 

 

Last Saturday the band attended the Astate Open Marching Band Competition and received the following awards out of 6 bands in Class A:

3rd Place Color Guard

 

SENIORS:

 

The following people have not turned in a baby picture for the yearbook.  You have until tomorrow, Oct. 25 to turn it in.

Senior ads are due by Tuesday, November 1st. Ads can be purchased online at jostensadservice.com or by turning your order in to Mrs. Diana. 

 

Anyone who is enrolled in art or has taken an art class may join Art Club. The dues are $15 and can be paid to Mrs. Tate until October 31st.

 

Students may start joining FCCLA. Dues are $15.00 and this includes a chapter t-shirt.  Students in 9-12th grades that have had or are taking a FCS class can be members. See Mrs. Little.

This Week in SPORTS:

Congratulations to the volleyball team for defeating Manila. They will play Episcopal Collegiate School at Rosebud in the state tournament at 6:00 tomorrow.

Pep Bus signup will start 2nd hour in the main office.  Students need to bring a handwritten permission slip by 10:00am tomorrow.  Dismissed at 1:45 and leaving at 2:15. You will have to purchase your admission tickets online.  They will be activated at the gate.

Tuesday:  Sr High football players will go 1st lunch and practice at 11:50
