The following students need to be excused Thursday, October 6th 1st-5th period for art trip to Pumpkin Hollow:  

Becky Due, Tucker Dunlap, Ashton Gramling, Chris Price, Kailey Robertson, Giana Simington, Logan Steele, Abby Crawford, Sienna Jones, Chloe Perez, Lexi Rigdon, Bre Scott, Kaiden Scudder, Keegan Scudder, Sara Dees, Drake Olsen, Ashlen Bearden, Taylor Blackwell, Jessica Holt, Conner Jordan, Emma Langley, Noah Roberts, Jadah Smith, and Tyson Smith.

 

Students – if you get locked out of the building you will need to enter through the front office.  Do not knock on the doors.  This interrupts classes.

 

Work Keys Test ---- Juniors and Seniors:  The Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority has donated (8) $100 gift cards for our students who pass all 3 sections of the Work Keys test.  If we have more than 8 who pass all 3 tests, we will draw names for the gift cards.  Let Mrs. Amber know if you want to take the test.  We plan on testing on October 18, 19, & 20

 

The Art on the Ridge and First National Bank is sponsoring a pumpkin decorating contest on October 8th. Prize money is $10, $25, and $50 in 5 different categories with one Best of Show. Info is in the office, see Mrs. Tate, or go online at www.artontheridge.org.

 

The following students will be at the Arkansas Youth Expo Livestock Show October 3-6, 2022: Laura Jackson, Riley Jo Gossett, Bre Harmon and Charlie Latta.

 

ATTENTION Theatre Club Students: Miss Vernon has added a survey about field trip possibilities to the Google Classroom for our club. It can be found on the Classwork Tab on the classroom tab. Also, if you have not completed the survey Ms. V. issued at the meeting, please do that ASAP. 

 

Chess practice will be every Wednesday right after school until 4:00. 

Esports practice will be today after school.

 

Please excuse the following FCCLA Officers Thurs. Oct. 6, 1st - 6th Hours:

Chloe Sexton, Dixie Book, Maddy Winitzer and Haley Hanners. They will be organizing Homecoming t-shirts. 

Homecoming t-shirts will be ready for Seniors by the end of 5th Hour and will be delivered to everyone else during 6th hour, Thursday.

Art Club will be painting faces in the art room on Friday, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th period for $1 per painting.

 

Several FBLA members will be attending the District II Fall Leadership conference in Jonesboro next Wednesday, October 12. The lists of Senior High and Middle Level members attending will be sent to teachers.

 

Make up pictures will be October 13 – this is for grades 7 - 12  

 

New wheel classes will begin on October 17.

 

 

Homecoming royalty and escorts will be practicing 2nd hour on Wednesday, Oct 5 in the New Gym

 

Royalty assembly will be at 10:00 Friday morning.

 

Spirit Week dress up days are: 

Tuesday- Decade Day, Wednesday- Jersey Day, Thursday- Greek Mythology Day, Friday- Pink Out Day.

 

Please dismiss sr high cheerleaders and band to eat during 1st lunch (11:20 am) on Friday, 10/7. They will be practicing for the pep rally during 2nd lunch. They will be dismissed for homecoming activities for the remainder of the day.   Jr High cheerleaders should be dismissed after first lunch for the remainder of the day.

 

 

The annual pink out football game has been changed to next Friday, October 14th. This is Sr. Night. This Friday on Homecoming, please wear school colors to school and to the football game.

 

 

The homecoming pep rally will begin on Friday, October 7 at 1:00 followed by the parade. Students will be dismissed by the band during 6th period.

 

Anyone who is enrolled in art or has taken an art class may join Art Club. The dues are $15 and can be paid to Mrs. Tate until October 31st.

 

Students may start joining FCCLA. Dues are $15.00 and this includes a chapter t-shirt.  Students in 9-12th grades that have had or are taking a FCS class can be members. See Mrs. Little.

 

It's not too late to join FBLA! $15 dues must be paid by October 14 if you want a t-shirt! 

 

It is time to sign up for the Spanish Club. You can sign up with Mrs. White in room 232 between classes and right after school. Do not disturb class. Sign-ups will last through Oct 7th. Dues are $20 and that includes your club t-shirt.
