Class of 2022 Senior Trip Day

Announcements 5-17-22

Please excuse Chloe Sexton on Tues. May 17.  She will be attending a FCCLA District III meeting in Jonesboro.

Students interested in ASU concurrent classes (Sociology, Psychology, World Lit I/II) - there will be an ASU representative here on Tuesday, May 17 (afternoon) to get you registered.  Let Mrs. Amber know if you are interested.  You will have to have qualifying test scores.

There will be a Powderpuff Volleyball game this Friday, May 20 at 5:00 in the Middle Gym. It will be for grades 8th through 11th each team will consist of 12 players. The cost for each player will be 10 dollars. The due date for the money is Thursday, May 19th. This is a fundraiser to help raise funds for FCCLA Nationals.

Please excuse Jocelyn Fraser & Jacquline Clark during 2nd hour  class tomorrow, 5/18, to record the Spring Concert with the High School Band.  

Tennis sign ups are in Coach Seegraves' outer office on a table. This is for students entering 9th-12th grade. Please sign up and pick up the forms when you are able to come to the office. 

There will be a Girls Golf Clinic at the Sugar Creek Country Club this summer.  This will be on Tuesday and Thursday, June 7th & 9th, 14th & 16th, and 21st & 23rd from 9:00-11:00 am.  The cost is $100 for the 6 sessions of 2 hrs each.  To register call the Country Club at 870-598-3546 or call Hickory Hill BBQ at 870-634-6320.  The Instructor is Pat Austin.

Any student wanting to take advanced art classes next year and who has taken Art I or above and scored a "B" or better average in their class needs to see Mrs. Tate by Monday for the end of year portfolio review papers that will be due Monday, May 23rd.

Students:  Be sure you have your chromebook and charger with you at school this week.  We are going to start collecting them.  We will call you to the library when we are ready. There will be chromebook carts in some classrooms to use for any assignments.

Students also need to turn in  library books.

Please be sure that you have turned in all books to your teachers before you can be exempt. 

Teachers:  make sure that you turn in a list of lost books and students names to the office before we leave.  

Students in grades 9 -12:  If you need to come to summer school for credit recovery, sign up with Mrs. Amber.  You can recover half a credit.  It will be June 1 - June 30.  Monday - Thursday from 8:00 - 12:00.  

Cross Country Sign-Ups! 7-12th grade-Any students wanting to join cross country for the 2022-2023 season, there will be a meeting in the library at 10:45 on Thursday, May 19. 

Sports Banquet for Girls Basketball, Softball, Boys Basketball, and Baseball on Thursday, May 19 @ 5:00 in the New Gym

**Sophomores/Juniors:  If you are interested in taking the following concurrent classes next year, it is time to register.  See Mrs. Amber for paperwork.  You must have ACT or ACT Aspire cut scores to qualify.  They will start accepting applications on April 18  and the deadline is May 27.  These classes come on a first come first serve basis with our school and several other schools.  If you are interested, you need to see Mrs. Amber ASAP.   Comp I/II, Experiencing Art, Public  Speaking, US History I/II, World History I/II, Beginning Spanish I/II, Personal Health & Wellness (new offering)

Teachers:  Students should not be answering the phones in the classrooms
