Announcements 3-11-22
Location Change-TODAY, Friday, March 11, we will be having a small Special Olympics event in the MIDDLE Gym. This will NOT be the same as the ones we have hosted in the past because it is not open to the general public and there will be no concession stand. However, we will still need students to work on the floor with the athletes. -- The following Beta members will be in the gym assisting with the event Friday morning. They should report to the gym at 8:30 and should be back in class before 1st Lunch. --Taylor Blackwell, Dixie Book, Autumn Covert, Tamia Davis, Tucker Dunlap, Anna Haley, Grace Hooten, Emma Langley, Shawnee Latimer, Charlie Latta, Alyssa Manor, Mikaylah Putt, Micha Reeves, Emma Riddle, Shawn Hudson Seegraves, Johnna Wilburn, Olivia Woolard. The following students will be out tomorrow 1st-4th period to paint faces: Piper Hicks, Skylar Stone, Jadyn Thompson, and Rebecca Woolery.

We plan on eating lunch at 11:00. Those who do not leave with their parents/guardians will return to class.

Juniors: The yeti raffle will end on March 18th. Have all tickets and money turned in to Coach B by that morning. $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $25. If you haven't picked up you raffle tickets to sell, come by the middle gym and get yours.

7th and 8th grade Wheel Classes (Art and Music) will change next Monday, March 14.
Cajun Dave's is selling chances on a $100 gift certificate for items that may be purchased at Cajun Dave's. Chances are $5 for one or $20 for five chances. The winner will be chosen on Saturday, March 12. The gift certificate may be used all in one visit or multiple visits. The proceeds of this drive will go to the PHS backpack program to provide food for students. Thank you Cajun Dave's (David Blackmon) for supporting our school.
On Tuesday, Art Club will be painting blue and yellow dots on faces for $1. All money will be donated to the Ukraine Mission. There is also a list posted around the school of items that can be donated and dropped off at the art room all next week.
***TEACHERS: 3rd Nine Weeks ends next Friday, March 11. Grades must be in the computer by the end of the day on Monday, March 14. This will be a Progress Report unless it is a 7th/8th grade Art or Music class. You will need to backdate any grades put in on that day no later than March 11. Please make sure that you Load to gradebook for Progress Reports. Parent-Teacher Conference will be on Thursday, March 17 from 3:30-7:00. We will have school on Friday, March 18. Spring Break will be March 21-25.

**Junior high baseball will dismiss @ 2:30 on Monday, 3/14 and dismiss @ 2:00 on Tuesday, 3/15.
FBLA Little Caesar's Pizza Kids will be delivered Monday afternoon, March 14. Those who sold pizza kits MUST pick them up in the cafeteria Monday afternoon between 4:30 - 6:00. The kits arrive frozen and we have nowhere to store kits that are not picked up.
There will be another opportunity for a virtual ACT Prep class. It will be next Friday, March 18 from 9:00 - 3:00. We will provide a place at school for you to participate in this class. See Mrs. Amber to register.
Announcement- ALL students stay in the cafeteria when they arrive at school each day beginning Monday, March 7th. No students will be allowed in the main building until the 1st bell rings.
Color-Guard Tryouts will be next week, Friday, March 18 for grades 7-11th Grades. Practice schedule is Thurs, March 10, and Tues, March 15. Practice will start at 3:20 and end at 4:40. Please be on time and wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. For more information, see Mr. Coyle.
***Seniors- Senior cap and gown composite pictures will be taken next Monday, March 14. starting at 8 a.m. There will NOT be a make up day. There will be a $10 sitting fee that must be paid the day of pictures. The sitting fee will include an 8 X 10 copy of the senior composite. Boys should wear a collared button down shirt and girls should wear a dressy top or blouse. Bring your cap and gown to school.

Textbook Brokers in Conway, AR is sponsoring a Book Scholarship to students attending UCA, CBC or UACCM in Fall 2022. They have provided a link for students to fill out their information for a chance to win a Textbook Scholarship for Fall 2022. Each scholarship will cover the full cost of books for the Fall 2022 semester. There will be 2 winners chosen at UCA and UACCM then one winner for CBC. They will announce the winners on Facebook and Instagram, May 16th 2022. Students can also visit our website www.conwaybooks.com and fill out the scholarship form under our "info" tab. One entry person.
Seniors: Clay County Cattleman's Association's scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. This is for students pursuing a degree in Animal Science and/or agriculture. Deadline is May 1st.
Seniors: A representative from TRC will be here on Wednesday, April 13 to answer any questions and for those who have been accepted, she will register you for Fall classes. See Mrs. Amber if you are interested.
**Seniors: The Clay County Farm Bureau Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. You must be a child or grandchild of a Clay County Farm Bureau member, 2.5 GPA, and preferably seeking a degree in agriculture or the medical field - but this is not a requirement. Deadline April 15, 2022
