Announcements 2-22-22
This week is FCCLA week! Members will be experiencing some awesome activities and receiving some appreciation gifts. Teachers, we have a day for you! More information to come. Members not in Mrs. Little's class come by each day to participate. See ya between classes.

**Come dressed in your best for the Who's who assembly on Thursday, February 24 at 9 a.m. Pictures will be immediately following the assembly. NOTE: In the event of bad weather and school closure, the assembly will be next Wednesday, March 2.
DATE CHANGE- Theatre Club Picture will be on Wednesday, March 2 at 8:40 before the Who's who assembly.
Don't forget to block your teachers' doors with diaper and wipe donations! You have until Wednesday, February 23 to donate unopened packages of diapers or wipes to a PHS teacher of your choice! ALL teachers' doors that are blocked from the floor past the door handle, full width of the door frame, will take roll in one of the gyms next Friday, February 25.
All Juniors will be taking the ACT test here at PHS on Tuesday, March 1 beginning 1st pd and will be over during 5th pd.
There will be a meeting on Wednesday, February 23 during 2nd hour in the library for Seniors who are interested in painting a parking spot.
There will be a Beta Meeting Friday, February 25 during 3rd pd in Mrs. Flowers' classroom.
The Lady Mohawk Softball team is selling t-shirts and sweatshirts. If you would like to buy one, you can get with one of the softball girls or let Coach Carr-Haley know what you would like to order.
- T-Shirts are $15 (add $2 for sizes 2XL and up)
- Sizes include: Youth XS-XL and Adult S-5XL
- Sweatshirts are $20 (add $2 for sizes 2XL and up)
- Sizes include: Youth S-L and Adult S to 3XL
Cheerleading tryouts for JR High and SR High will be Friday, March 11 at 5:00 pm. There will be daily practice March 7-10 after school, which is required for tryouts. There is a sign up sheet in the office. Please take a packet when you sign up.
DATE CHANGE--Jostens will be here on Thursday, March 3, for senior delivery. Balances can be paid that day or they can pay before that date. Balances were emailed to them or students can check with Mrs. Natalie.
**Seniors- Senior cap and gown composite pictures will be taken Monday, March 14. starting at 8 a.m. There will NOT be a make up day. There will be a $10 sitting fee that must be paid the day of pictures. The sitting fee will include an 8 X 10 copy of the senior composite. Boys should wear a collared button down shirt and girls should wear a dressy top or blouse. Bring your cap and gown to school.
Attention Juniors: The last day to pay Junior Class Dues is 2/28.
Colorguard Tryouts will be Friday, March 18 for grades 7-11th Grades. Practice schedule is March 1, March 3, March 8, March 10, March 15. Practice will start at 3:20 and end at 4:40. Please be on time and wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. For more information, see Mr. Coyle.
********************************************************************************************************Students: According to the handbook- Pajama bottoms, Pajama tops, house shoes, and Blankets are NOT permitted. Please do not carry blankets to school.
***ALSO, according to the handbook p. 38, No student may be checked out for the purpose of lunch.
****New Guidelines for Covid-19. •The definition of a close contact in a school setting has changed from within 6 feet for 15 minutes to within 3 feet for 15 minutes.
- •Test-to-stay protocols now apply to extracurricular activities instead of only applying to the school day.
- Remember: •Vaccination eliminates the need for quarantine., •If both the case and the contact are masked, there is no need for quarantine.
ATTENTION: Students are not to park on the back side of the New Gym. Please park in the main parking lot or Sr Football at Old Gym. Reminder: Students are not to go to their vehicles during class, between classes or anytime during the day without permission.
