Announcements 2-9-22

*Archery practice :  Wednesday 2/9

Please excuse the following students to take part in the Land CDE Practice Contest today: Riley Jo Gossett, Jessie Henson, Laura Jackson and Kaden Wilson. 

Beta pictures for the yearbook will be taken on Thursday, February 10 at 10:00 in the New Gym. 

ML FBLA pictures will be Thursday, February 10 at 9:45

ML FBLA spring conference will be this Friday. Competitors should pick up their permission slips in Ms. Sadie's room and return them by this Thursday. A student list will be sent to teachers later this week. 

7th, 9th and Senior Class Officer pictures will be 3rd hour on Thursday, Feb 10. 

FCCLA members will need to meet in the new gym during, 2nd hour at 9:15 am for the group picture, this Friday Feb. 11. 

This Friday, February 11, will be a hat day. All proceeds will go to Make A Wish. Stickers will be sold for $1 before 1st period in the cafeteria. There will also be someone coming around to collect at the beginning of 2nd period. Teachers, please help monitor by making sure students who are wearing hats have the correct color sticker. The color will be emailed to all teachers on Friday morning.

Congrats to Mrs. Stacey Peters for being named KAIT8's Class Act for January. She was nominated by Skylar Stone.  

These FBLA Members will compete on 2/18 in Pocahontas. Please excuse all day.

Students:  If you are interested in a FREE Online ACT workshop on Tuesday, February 22 from 9-12.  See Mrs. Amber for registration.  We only have 5 spots available.

Colorguard Tryouts will be Friday, March 18 for grades 7-11th Grades.  Practice schedule is March 1, March 3, March 8, March 10, March 15.  Practice will start at 3:20 and end at 4:40.  Please be on time and wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.  For more information, see Mr. Coyle.

Students:  According to the handbook- Pajama bottoms, Pajama tops, house shoes, and Blankets are NOT permitted.  Please do not carry blankets to school. 

***ALSO, according to the handbook p. 38, No student may be checked out for the purpose of lunch.

****New Guidelines for Covid-19. •The definition of a close contact in a school setting has changed from within 6 feet for 15 minutes to within 3 feet for 15 minutes.

  • •Test-to-stay protocols now apply to extracurricular activities instead of only applying to the school day.
  • Remember: •Vaccination eliminates the need for quarantine., •If both the case and the contact are masked, there is no need for quarantine. 

ATTENTION:    Students are not to park on the back side of the New Gym.  Please park in the main parking lot or Sr Football at Old Gym.  Reminder: Students are not to go to their vehicles during class, between classes or anytime during the day without permission.
