Announcements 11-9-21

There will be a Junior Class Parent Meeting this Wednesday, Nov 10 at 5 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria to discuss After Prom details.

MEET THE MOHAWKS Basketball event on Friday, Nov. 12 beginning at 4:45.  Come and watch the 7th Grade, Jr High, and Sr High Boys and Girls Basketball teams and Cheerleaders and see the Coaches play the Seniors at 7:15.

FCCLA Luncheon in the FCS room Thursday.  Members will get a ticket for themselves and one for a potential member.  Teachers, an email was sent explaining that students just need to show them the FCCLA ticket to be dismissed early.

There will be a Middle Level FBLA meeting on Thursday, 11/11 after school in Ms. Sadie's room. The meeting is for students who want to participate in spring competition. See Ms. Sadie for more information.

7th-12th grade Archery will practice Tuesday, November 9th.  Both teams will practice together.  Practice time is after school until 5pm.

Students interested in taking concurrent Biology next semester with Mrs. Russom - see Mrs. Amber.  It is 4th hour and you must have a 19 on the Reading section of the ACT or a 251 on the Accuplacer in Reading.  You can take the accuplacer through BRTC.  See Mrs. Amber if you are interested.  Registration begins next week.

Seniors:  A representative from Williams Baptist University will be here this Thursday, November 11 at 9:15 in the library if you are interested.

Seniors:  A representative from UCA will be here at 9:15 on Wednesday, December 1 for those interested.

Jostens will be here on Tuesday, November 30 to deliver class rings.

**Senior Recognition ads are due by Friday, November 12.  Parents can make an appointment with Mrs. Diana if they would like to help design their child's page.  Ads can also be purchased at Jostenyearbooks.com. 

Yearbook Orders--Order by Friday, Nov. 12. Forms are in the office or will be given by English teachers.  Price is $45 for the yearbook or add one line of personalization for $6 . PHS Teachers are selling St. Louis Cardinal Calendars for $16.  This is a nice 15" x 22" Calendar filled with Pictures of the players and all Spring Training and Regular Season Games marked.  Profits will go to fund a scholarship given by the PHS teachers.  Please contact Faith Conley or Amber Harrell for ordering information. Orders are due by Monday, Nov. 15.  

POSTPONED -There will be a meeting Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 11:00 a.m. for any student in grades 9-12 who would like to join the Mohawk Pep Club.  The meeting will be in the Middle Gym.

****New Guidelines for Covid-19. •The definition of a close contact in a school setting has changed from within 6 feet for 15 minutes to within 3 feet for 15 minutes.

  • •Test-to-stay protocols now apply to extracurricular activities instead of only applying to the school day.
  • Remember: •Vaccination eliminates the need for quarantine., •If both the case and the contact are masked, there is no need for quarantine. 

ATTENTION:    Students are not to park on the back side of the New Gym.  Please park in the main parking lot or Sr Football at Old Gym.  Reminder: Students are not to go to their vehicles during class, between classes or anytime during the day without permission.
