Announcements 10-4-21

The Clay County Health Dept will be on high school campus TOMORROW, Tuesday,  October 5 to offer the flu or Pfizer Covid vaccine. Separate forms are available for pickup in the front office AND WERE SENT HOME YESTERDAY. These forms must be completed ONLY if you wish  to take either of the vaccines. There are not any contraindications for taking both vaccines on the same day if you wish to take both. You must return the completed form for each vaccine that you take by October 5.

The following students are exhibiting livestock at Arkansas Youth Expo in Fayetteville, AR October 4-6:

All FBLA members attending the fall conference in Jonesboro on Wednesday should turn their permission slips in to Mrs. Peters or Miss Sadie by tomorrow! Senior high members should be in the new gym lobby no later than 7:20 Wednesday morning!

Letterman's Jacket Orders-  Skeeter Kell is coming to PHS to take order for Letterman's Jackets.  The base cost of the jacket is $200, "P" is $20 and name on the back is $3 per letter.  Other patches given by the different sports can be sewn on the jackets.  If you are interested in ordering a jacket, please let Mrs. Conley know by Thursday, Oct. 7.

Congratulations to all the art class students and their winnings at the Clay County Fair. They received 134 blue, 105 red, and 47 white ribbons, and 1 Best of Show by Callie Henson for a total of 287 ribbons. This wouldn't of happened without the help of 5 students, Lexi Rigdon, Skylar Stone, Rebecca Woolery, Callie Henson, and Natalie Small, who worked very hard to get everything tagged and entered.  I am very proud of all my students

This Friday, the advanced art students will be delivering scarecrows to Pumpkin Hollow in the morning.  A list and time will be included on Monday.

ATTENTION:  Social Distancing  (6ft) must be maintained masked or not.  Students are not to park on the back side of the New Gym.  Please park in the main parking lot or Sr Football at Old Gym.  Reminder: Students are not to go to their vehicles during class, between classes or anytime during the day without permission.

Seniors:  Visit www.reelricecontest.com for information about entering a short video about US grown rice.  Three scholarships will be awarded $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000.  Deadline is October 31, 2021

Powderpuff is on! FCCLA is sponsoring a Powderpuff football game on November 2 at 6:00 pm!  9th-12th grade girls interested in playing see Mycah Blascoe.  There will be a meeting with each team during 2nd period at 9:20. TODAY--   Powderpuff cheerleaders and their coaches will meet .

Make-up picture day will be November 3.  We will start with seniors at 8 a.m.  The rest of the students and faculty will be after the seniors are done.

**9th-12th grade students enrolled in art or who have taken an art class can join Art Club until October 29th for $15.  This includes a club t-shirt.

**If you are interested in joining the Spanish Club you have until Oct 5th to pay your dues of $12. The $12 will pay for your club t-shirt.

**9th-12th Grade Students: It is time to join FCCLA!  Dues are $15.00 and you will receive a Sonic Coupon Card and later a club t-shirt  See Mrs. Little in the FCS room.

Those FCCLA members that have paid their dues and are interested in attending the Fall Conference in Washington D.C. Nov. 4-7.  See Mrs. Little for more details.  The cost of the trip will be the members responsibility..
