10th graders will be touring the BRTC Armory today.  Students need to meet in the library at 9:15.  We will walk over as long as it is not raining. 

7-9 pace meeting tomorrow- Friday 

9th and 10th graders will be taking the PreACT on Tuesday, March 17.  Opt out forms must be turned in by Friday, March 13 if you do not want to participate.

World Down Syndrome Day is March 21st. Piggott High School would like to support our own student with Down Syndrome by wearing blue and yellow on Thursday, March 19th. We would like for everybody to show their support and love for Ian!

Sign up sheet for Cheer tryouts is in the office.  Pick up a packet when you sign up.

Auditions for the 2026 Marching Band Color Guard will be held the week after spring break. Auditions are open to anyone currently in 8th-11th grade and you do not have to be in band in order to audition. If you have any interest, come try it out! The sign up paper is in the office. 

If you are going to Prom - Class dues need to be paid before or on March 19th. Mrs. Lori can take payments and provide receipts. Tickets for non-junior or senior prom dates will cost $20. More information on where to purchase tickets will be coming soon. 

 Students going to Prom:  There are some coupons for $50 off a tuxedo rental from Men N Black in the front office.

After prom permission forms will be in the office or Coach B’s room. Students need to come by and get one, fill it out and return to Mrs. Lori or Coach B by March 19th so we have time to prepare t shirts.

Blood Drive - April 17

Red Cross is offering a $15 e-gift card to merchant of choice

You must be at least 16 to donate.  16 year olds need a permission form (pick up in Mrs. Amber’s office) 17 year old and up do not need a permission form.

If you have a teacher's permission to visit another classroom during class time, you MUST knock on the door and wait to be recognized.  Do not just enter on your own.    

Students:  Remember that after school pickup needs to be in our main parking lot.  We need to be respectful of our neighboring businesses and not use their parking lots for after school pickup.    

Students:  When checking grades in HAC, you will need to change your report card view from 2 to 4 in order to see grades for this semester.

  • Must be an active member of a church and/or Christian organization

  • Plan to attend an accredited college or university on  a full time basis

  • 2.0 or better GPA

  • Must be of high moral character, exhibit a strong work ethic, and be intellectually qualified for the desired pursuit

The Holly Mauldin Alonzo New Beginnings Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  You will email your application and essay to the email on the application.  Deadline is midnight on May 1, 2026.

The AASSP Scholarship is awarded annually to support a graduating high school senior who is the child of an AAEA member and plans to pursue a degree in education. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded. Scholarship funds will be issued after the fall semester begins upon submission of proof of 

tuition payment to AAEA. The scholarship may not be applied to any previous academic year.
