Random Acts of Kindness Week (RAK)

Your RAK challenge today is to throw away trash from the floors or throw trash away for someone at breakfast or lunch.

**If you need to practice on a different day, that is fine. You need to be at practice!

If you have a teacher's permission to visit another classroom during class time, you MUST knock on the door and wait to be recognized.  Do not just enter on your own.    

Students:  When checking grades in HAC, you will need to change your report card view from 2 to 4 in order to see grades for this semester.

The school science fair will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, for 7th–12th grade students. Winners in each category will advance to the Regional Science Fair on February 27, 2026. For more information, see Mrs. Poole.  

Soybean Science Challenge

Students interested in soybean research can incorporate their project into the Soybean Science Challenge as part of their science fair project.

The Mohawk Pageant is coming up! Saturday, February 21st. There are categories for all ages! The top 5 of the Pre-K through 12th grade categories qualify to compete in the Miss NEA Pageant if they want to. You can register online now!

  • Must be an active member of a church and/or Christian organization

  • Plan to attend an accredited college or university on  a full time basis

  • 2.0 or better GPA

  • Must be of high moral character, exhibit a strong work ethic, and be intellectually qualified for the desired pursuit

Every year, the Arkansas Association of Pupil Transportation (AAPT)

awards a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating senior. One of the

qualifications for this scholarship is the applicant must have had a

family member involved in the pupil transportation industry. (Bus

Driver, Transportation Director, Mechanic, Asst. Transportation

Director)

Applications for the Regina Crittenden Memorial Scholarship are available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Preference is given to students who plan to pursue a degree in education or a related field.  Deadline is April 18, 2026.  Turn in applications to Mrs. Amber

The 2026 TEL-AR Scholarship is awarded annually to support students pursuing postsecondary education. TEL-AR awards up to four (4) scholarships of $750 based on the Scholarship Committee’s evaluation of established selection criteria. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, college student, or trade school student who is either a current TEL-AR member or the child or grandchild of a current TEL-AR member.

The Arkansas School Plant Management Association (ASPMA) Scholarship is offered to promote continued education and recognize students for their leadership, scholastic achievement, and civic participation. ASPMA awards up to approximately $40,000 annually, with individual scholarship amounts ranging from $1,500 to $5,000, based on the Scholarship Committee’s evaluation of selection criteria. Scholarships may be eligible for renewal when funds are available.

The AASSP Scholarship is awarded annually to support a graduating high school senior who is the child of an AAEA member and plans to pursue a degree in education. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded. Scholarship funds will be issued after the fall semester begins upon submission of proof of 

tuition payment to AAEA. The scholarship may not be applied to any previous academic year.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) Scholarship supports students continuing their education in a technical/trade certification, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree program. Eligible applicants include graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors.

Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $1,500, with the number of awards based on available funding. Recipients are selected by the NSPMA Scholarship Committee using criteria such as academic achievement, co-curricular involvement, community service, and essay response.

High Voltage Lineman Scholarship

The High Voltage Lineman Scholarship, sponsored by Craighead Electric Cooperative Corporation, is granted to a high school senior aspiring to become a high voltage lineworker. The chosen candidate will receive a scholarship covering tuition and books for the High Voltage Lineman Program at Arkansas State University (ASU) Newport, valued at over $8,000.
