Jr High archery team placed 5th in the Maynard Tournament. 

Congrats to:

Hudson Seal placed 4th for boys middle division!

Peyton Burr placed 4th for girls middle division!

Sr High Archery team placed 3rd and will be receiving a trophy!

Congrats to Thyme Spence for qualifying for the State tournament in Hot Springs, AR with a 282!! (Minimum of 280 required to qualify)

Thyme Spence was also the 1st place for senior high girls!

Bentley Young was 3rd place for senior high boys!

Our next tournament is this Saturday at Brookland.

Jostens will be delivering class rings today during advisory to all the orders paid in full.

All Mid-Level FBLA students need to go to the new gym for a picture during advisory on Tuesday.

Any 7th or 8th graders interested in playing baseball need to go to Coach Walton’s room during advisory on Wednesday 12/10.

There will be a card making night in the library this Friday beginning right after school. We will watch a Christmas movie, have hot chocolate, and make cards for the nursing home residents. This is an opportunity to earn 1 hour of community service

Seniors need to vote for Who's Who by Friday. The ballot can be found in their email.

Candy canes will be for sale during advisory on Wednesday, December 10th for $1 each.

7-11th graders need to complete the ballot found in their emails for class favorites by Wednesday, December 10th.

The Fall Athletic Banquet honoring Golf, Football, and Volleyball will be held in the Middle Gym on Sunday December 14th at 2:00 PM. Athletes please make plans to be there. 

FCM Members, please do not forget to bring a personal hygiene product to Mrs. Madison's room. That is Room 213.  

Seniors:

The Horatio Alger Scholarship application is now open.  Deadline is Feb 15, 2026.  See Mrs. Amber for a link.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at one of the target colleges/universities on our website (complete list can be found here: Senior Scholarships)

  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)

  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0

  • Be a United States citizen

$1,000 Conservation Scholarship to a first year student who is going to school for a career in conservation!  Applicable degree fields include:  Agriculture, Biology, Parks & Rec, Natural Resources, Ecology, & Animal Science.
