We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week! Students are encouraged to show their commitment to being drug free by participating in our themed dress up days.
Tuesday - Pink Out Day - Breast Cancer Awareness Day
Wednesday - Give Drugs the Boot - wear any kind of boot
Thursday - Costume Day - Say Boo to Drugs - wear school appropriate costumes
Friday - Jersey Day - Team up against drugs
Any students wanting to help with the Fall Festival tomorrow at elementary school from 3:30-6:00 need to see me. You can get community service hours for this.
With FCCLA supporting Red Ribbon Week - Mohawks Drug Free -today, only those who plan to participate in the Halloween Contest will need to pay. The contest will be held in the library for both 7-9th grades and 10th-12th grades during Map. The entry fee is $2.00. Reminder: School appropriate costumes and no mask!
Costume Contest - Judging during MAP in the library. Must pay $2.00 to enter the contest.
An announcement will be made at the end of 3rd period for 7-9th to come to the library for the contest. Once done they will return to class and then an announcement will be made for 10-12th to come to the library for judging. The contest is sponsored by First National Bank. Prizes are $35.00 1st place, $25.00 2nd place, and $15.00 for 3rd place for each grade level.
FCCLA, will be selling Pink Cupcakes for Breast Cancer Awareness today. All proceeds will be donated to the Sandi Moore cause. There will be FCCLA members coming to classes during MAP. Cupcakes are $1.00.
Senior ad recognition pages are due today -October 31st for the yearbook. Please refer to your Senior packet if you have questions or ask Mrs. Huckabay.
Senior High FBLA members may pick up Pro Sports Career Day information from Mrs. Peters. Forms and money are due by November 1. Remember, you must be a paid FBLA member to attend.
Blood Drive November 1, 2024. Help us reach our goal of 21 pints! Red Cross is offering a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice for giving. See Mrs. Amber to sign up. You must be at least 16 years old. 16 year olds will need a permission slip signed.
Juniors: sheet orders are due WITH MONEY by next Wednesday, November 6! Those who sell at least 5 items will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card!
Students interested in taking a spring concurrent class and have the qualifying scores - see Mrs. Amber. ATU concurrent spring registration is open from Oct 16 - Nov 20. If you have any questions, talk to Mrs. Amber.
Students can still join FCCLA through Nov. 21. See Mrs. Little in class or during MAPS to pay the $20.00 dues.
Math tutoring for 7th and 8th graders will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will start right after school and last an hour. Report to Room 218 when the last bell rings.
All High School FBLA members have been added to the FBLA Google Classroom and should check it regularly to stay updated.
Students are not to park in the band parking lot, Dollar General lot, or church parking lot. Legal drivers must park in the main parking lots only. See Mrs. Amber for a parking tag.
Students - once you are on school property in the mornings, you are not allowed to leave. This goes for car riders, bus riders, and walkers.
