At last week’s chess tournament in Walnut-Ridge, Burke Swann was undefeated and won first place out of 58 competitors.  Congratulations to Burke!

We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week!  Students are encouraged to show their commitment to being drug free by participating in our themed dress up days.

Tuesday - Pink Out Day - Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Wednesday - Give Drugs the Boot - wear any kind of boot

Thursday - Costume Day - Say Boo to Drugs - wear school appropriate costumes

Friday - Jersey Day - Team up against drugs

**Anyone who is interested in being on the archery team needs to show up to practice. 

Paid Art Club members need to sign up for officers in the art room, and there will be an Art Club meeting today during MAP in the art room.

FCCLA will be hosting the annual Halloween Costume Contest on Halloween, Thurs. Oct. 31, during MAP. All that wear a costume that day must pay $1.00 to wear a costume and pay an additional $1.00 to enter the contest.  School appropriate costumes only.  More details to follow. 

Senior ad recognition pages are due October 31st for the yearbook. Please refer to your Senior packet if you have questions or ask Mrs. Huckabay.

Students interested in taking a spring concurrent class and have the qualifying scores - see Mrs. Amber.  ATU concurrent spring registration is open from Oct 16 - Nov 20.  If you have any questions, talk to Mrs. Amber.

Math tutoring for 7th and 8th graders will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will start right after school and last an hour.  Report to Room 218 when the last bell rings.

Senior High FBLA members may pick up Pro Sports Career Day information from Mrs. Peters. Forms and money are due by November 1. Remember, you must be a paid FBLA member to attend.

Blood Drive November 1, 2024.  Help us reach our goal of 21 pints! Red Cross is offering a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice for giving.  See Mrs. Amber to sign up.  You must be at least 16 years old.  16 year olds will need a permission slip signed.

  

Students can still join FCCLA through Nov. 21.  See Mrs. Little in class or during MAPS to pay the $20.00 dues.  

All High School FBLA members have been added to the FBLA Google Classroom and should check it regularly to stay updated.

  Students are not to park in the band parking lot, Dollar General lot, or church parking lot. Legal drivers must park in the main parking lots only. See Mrs. Amber for a parking tag.

Students - once you are on school property in the mornings, you are not allowed to leave.  This goes for car riders, bus riders, and walkers.
