Math tutoring for 7th and 8th graders will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will start right after school and last an hour.  Report to Room 218 when the last bell rings.

There are a few extra Homecoming shirts. Please check the board outside Mrs.Little's Room to see shirt sizes. You will need to pay for it before you receive it.  It is first come first serve. If you want to purchase one, see Mrs. Lori in the office on Thursday or Mrs. Little will be back on Friday.

Advanced Art students will be painting faces tomorrow for $1 per design during the 1st half of the day. Art students will rotate to classrooms to paint. Please let Mrs. Tate know if you don't won't your students to be painted.

Students can still join FCCLA through Nov. 21.  See Mrs. Little in class or during MAPS to pay the $20.00 dues.   

Teachers, See your email about the FCCLA members who will be attending the FCCLA fall meeting at Craighead Forest Park today- Thursday, Oct. 3.

FCCLA members who are competing in STAR Events must turn in the $20.00 fee and their permission slip this Fri. Oct. 4.

Anyone in grades 9th-12th, who is taking or has taken an art class and made at least a "B" average and would like to join the Art Club needs to pay Mrs. Tate $15, by October 4th.

Be Pro Be Proud simulator truck will be here on Monday & Tuesday Oct 7-8.  This is for grades 8 - 12.  

Sr. Girls Basketball needs to meet in Coach Haley's room for MAP next Wednesday the 9th

The Flu Clinic will be October 16.  Forms will be sent home next week and can be turned in to Mrs. Ashley.  There will be extra forms in the office for staff.  

Blood Drive November 1, 2024.  Help us reach our goal of 21 pints! Red Cross is offering a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice for giving.  See Mrs. Amber to sign up.  You must be at least 16 years old.  16 year olds will need a permission slip signed.  

All High School FBLA members have been added to the FBLA Google Classroom and should check it regularly to stay updated.

Any FBLA member interested in a volunteer opportunity on Saturday, October 12 should see Mrs. Peters as soon as possible.


Class Elections -2024-25

*The posters to run for class officers are located outside the counselor’s office.

*Students must have a 2.0 GPA and may only run for one office.

*Must not have any OSS or ISS from last school year or the current year

*DO NOT sign another student’s name to the poster.

*You have to be signed up to run for office by the end of the day Thursday, October 3.

*You must be up to date on paying class dues.

*No more than 4 candidates may sign up for each office

*2 Class Representatives will be chosen

Thursday, Oct 3 Celebrity day (dress as your favorite celebrity)

Friday, Oct 4 Spirit Day ( Show your Mohawk pride by wearing red and black)




9th - 12th Graders:  The Piggott Chamber of Commerce has added a community service tab to their website.  This resource will be available as of today.  The link is live and already has 3-4  service options available for as soon as next week.

First Methodist Church of Piggott has some events coming up that could help students obtain Community Service hours. They will be hosting the following events coming up that students may come volunteer to help set up/ help during/take down: 

  1. Night of Praise and Worship Concert September 6th (hours 5 pm-9 pm)

  2. American Red Cross Blood Drive September 9th (hours 12:30pm-6:30pm)

  3. Marc Cave Concert September 12th (hours 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

  4. Monthly Community Meal and Food Distribution every 3rd Sunday of the month (Next one: September 15th hours 5pm-7pm)

If anyone is interested in getting hours by helping with these events, they may contact Payton Collins (Youth Director) at 501-424-9320 for more information! 


 Students are not to park in the band parking lot, Dollar General lot, or church parking lot. Legal drivers must park in the main parking lots only. See Mrs. Amber for a parking tag.

Students - once you are on school property in the mornings, you are not allowed to leave.  This goes for car riders, bus riders, and walkers.

*Arkansas Academy of Hair Design scholarship application is in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Deadline is Feb 28, 2025
