The Coop will be hosting a free ACT Prep course on Tuesday, April 9.  See Mrs. Amber by Friday if you are interested.

 

Juniors and Seniors wanting to go to after prom, the last day to sign up is April 5th.

 

There will be a PHS Theatre Club meeting in Room 224 during MAP on Friday, April 5. It is important that all Theatre Club members attend.

 

The following FCCLA members will be attending the state meeting/STAR Events Competition next week (Tues., Wed., Thurs., April 9-11):

Haley Hanners, Hannah McBroome, Jeanel Vaughn, Kyra Maqouirk, Taylor Peters, Cason Maynard, Olivia Blackwell, Londyn Morton, and Olivia Sexton.

Please do not count them absent.

 

The Clay County Junior Fair Board applications are available in the main office. 

 

Auditions for the Marching Band Colorguard will be April 22nd-26th. You do not have to currently be in band to try out! If you're interested in trying out, you need to sign up on the sheet in the office and take an information packet. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Allman in Room 231.

 

The Senior High Cheerleaders are selling school spirit t-shirts and sweatshirts that say "On gamedays we wear red and black." See any Senior High Cheerleader to order. The last day to order is April 10th. All proceeds go to summer camp fees!

 

 

Seniors:  I have posted a list of Honor Graduates on my door.  If you think you should be on the list and are not, please see me. 

 

Any sophomore or junior interested in applying for a BRTC CTC program for next school year, see Mrs. Amber for an application.  The application along with a letter of recommendation letter is due ASAP

 

The Art III class is selling their hand printed pillows for $5. They are displayed on the bulletin board near the teacher's lounge. All money will go to the Brantley Family. Thank you for your support!

 

Lifeguard applications for the Public Pool are available in the office and with Ms. Shawna.  You must be at least 15 years old to apply.

 

The only students who should be exiting through the band room at the end of the day - are band students picking up their instruments.

 

Sr lunchroom accounts must be paid in full before Graduation.  Your parent should be getting a text if you have a balance.  You can ask me if you need to know your balance.

 

Any senior interested in taking the WorkKeys assessment see Mrs. Amber. 

Students – you do not need to park in the handicap parking spot at the church and do not block the door.  If you have not received a parking pass and need one – see Mrs. Amber

Students, if you are NOT a bus rider, you must wait in the classroom until the second bell.  Only students who are bus riders that day leave on the first bell.

Seniors Info/Scholarships

·        AAEA and our constituent groups offer several scholarships for high school seniors pursuing a degree in education as well as educators who may be working toward an administration certification.  Details and application deadlines are listed for each.  See Mrs. Amber for a link 

·        Clay County Farm Bureau Scholarship application is in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an active Clay County Farm Bureau member.  Deadline is April 15, 2024.

·        The Holly Alonzo New Beginnings Scholarship application is available.  See Mrs. Amber for a link to the application. Applications will be accepted until midnight on May 3, 2024.  You will email your completed application to the email address on the application.

·        The Clay Conservation District Agricultural Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  This is for students intending to pursue a degree in agriculture.  Deadline is April 12.  Turn in to Mrs. Amber

·        Piggott Elementary Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Deadline is April 26.  Turn in to Mrs. Amber

·        Legacy Equipment scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office or you can apply online www.legacyequipment.com/about-us/scholarship-application.  Must be pursuing an agriculture relate field.  Deadline is April 12, 2024.  Applications may be submitted online, dropped off at any of their 7 locations, or emailed to thenson@legacyequipment.com
