Juniors will be taking the ACT today.  Juniors need to report to their testing room when the bell rings for school to start.

 

The Art III class is selling their hand printed pillows for $5. They are displayed on the bulletin board near the teacher's lounge. All money will go to the Brantley Family. Thank you for your support!

 

Cheer tryouts will be held on March 8th at 3:30pm. Anyone interested in trying out for the Senior High or Junior High squads is required to attend tryout week March 4th-7th after school until 5pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the office and information packets for those who are interested.

 

Seniors:  BRTC will be coming to our school on March 11 during Advisory for a mobile registration for the Fall of 2024.  See Mrs. Amber if you are interested.  BRTC will send a representative to our school to get you registered for classes and accept any missing paperwork you need for admission.

 

BRTC CTC Preview Days

*Any sophomore or junior interested in the BRTC CTC preview day for an Allied Health Program (CNA, EMT, Phlebotomy, or PreNursing) See Mrs. Amber. This will be March 13.

**Sophomores and interested Juniors will be attending the BRTC CTC Preview Day at the Piggott campus on March 14 at 9:30. If you are a Junior who is interested, let Mrs. Amber know you would like to go.

 

 

Juniors and Seniors, if you are interested in attending after prom this year please stop by the office and sign up with Mrs. Lori. After prom will be held at Hijinx in Jonesboro. If you plan on bringing a date that is not from this school, you will need to sign their name as well. 

 

The only students who should be exiting through the band room at the end of the day - are band students picking up their instruments.

 

Sr lunchroom accounts must be paid in full before Graduation.  Your parent should be getting a text if you have a balance.  You can ask me if you need to know your balance.

Students, if you are NOT a bus rider, you must wait in the classroom until the second bell.  Only students who are bus riders that day leave on the first bell.

Seniors Info/Scholarships

·        American Legion Scholarship – Must be children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren of American Legionnaire in good standing of 2+ year member.  Application & documents must be received by March 8, 2024.  See Mrs. Amber for application.

·        BRTC application for our BRTC Private and Foundation Scholarships is now open.  The deadline is March 1st. There is a link on the BRTC website.

·        If you are a senior or transfer student who plans to enroll at UA Little Rock as an art major - beginning with Fall 2024, the deadline to submit your digital portfolio is March 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. 

·        The Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  This is a $1000 scholarship to help with educational costs for the Fall of 2024 term to a College, University, or Trade school.  Return the application to Mrs. Amber by Friday, March 29, 2024

·        AAEA and our constituent groups offer several scholarships for high school seniors pursuing a degree in education as well as educators who may be working toward an administration certification.  Details and application deadlines are listed for each.  See Mrs. Amber for a link 

·        Clay County Farm Bureau Scholarship application is in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an active Clay County Farm Bureau member.  Deadline is April 15, 2024.
