The McCluskey/Tate 7th, 10th, and 11th grade Friends of Rachel will have a meeting during 4th period, Thursday. The meeting will last all period.

 

If you have not turned your track gear in to Coach collier by TODAY -wed. 5/17/23 you run the risk of being written up and billed for the cost of the gear

 

Sports physicals for the 2023-24 school year will be Tuesday, May 23.

 

Any student who has a library book or chromebook needs to return them by tomorrow!

 

Please excuse the following students who will be painting faces Friday at elementary:

Tucker Dunlap, Giana Simington, Logan Steele, Ashlynn Bearden, Abby Crawford, Sara Dees, Sienna Jones, Chloe Perez, Lexi Rigdon, Bree Scott, Kaiden Scudder, Keegan Scudder, and Jadah Smith.

 

Students who received a portfolio paper for next year's advanced art classes, paperwork is due this Friday, May 19th.

 

Any sophomore who is interested in the 4H Youth Leadership program can pick up an application in Mrs. Amber’s office.

 

No more Chess after school for the rest of the year.

 

The Senior High FBLA Officer Application is now available for current 9th - 11th grade members who are interested in serving in a position. See Mrs. Peters or visit FBLA social media for the link. Applications must be submitted by next Wednesday, May 17.

 

 

The tennis sign-up sheets are posted outside Mrs. Heather’s classroom. You may also email her with any questions. (heather.seegraves@piggottschools.net)  If you are already participating in another sport when school starts, she will work around that schedule so that you can also be on the tennis team.

There will be opportunities to play this summer, with official practice starting shortly before school starts in August.  The first tennis match of the season will be August 15th in Jonesboro where the Mohawks will be playing Riverside at 4:00. 

Students going in to grades 11 -12 next year:  If you are interested in one of the CTC programs at BRTC see Mrs.  Amber for an application.  The programs offered at the Piggott location are Welding and Industrial Electricity/Robotics.

 

It is time to register for ATU concurrent classes.  If you are going in to 10th – 12th grade next year and are interested in taking Comp I/II, US History I/II, World History I/II, Public Speaking, Personal Health & Wellness, Experiencing Art, or Beginning Spanish I/II – See Mrs. Amber for an application.  You must have qualifying ACT or ACT Aspire scores from 9th or 10th grade.

 

There will be a spring dance in the High School cafeteria on May 19, 7-9 p.m., for students in grades 7-12. Cost will be $5 to attend and you must sign up and pay by May 10. You will be able to buy a ticket at the door but the cost will be $8 instead of $5. Students may sign up and pay the following freshman class officers: Taylor Peters, Cason Maynard, Zander Mayberry, Caiden Mayberry, Jocelyn Fraser, or sponsor Mrs. Allman. A sign-up sheet for dates who do not attend Piggott High School will be in the office. Dates must be attending school in grades 7-12 and must be signed up by May 10.

 

Students are NOT to be banging on the doors in between classes.  You need to go to the front office doors if the side doors are locked.

*There is a form on Mrs. Amber’s door to let her know where you want your final transcript sent.

 

*If you have received a scholarship you want announced at Graduation, email Mrs. Amber the name of the scholarship.
