Tuesday, April 25, 2023---Daily Announcements

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please dismiss the senior high football team Wednesday at 12:15 to participate in a community service project.  A roster has been attached.

There will be an Art Club trip this Friday.  Mrs. Tate emailed names of those who are going.

CPR for seniors will be Friday, April 28th at 8:30am in the cafeteria.  This will take approximately 2 hours.  This is a requirement for graduation so seniors will need to attend.  I'm aware of a few students on an art trip that day and will get with them separately.  I'll send a reminder out that morning so other students will not get sent to see me in the office during that time for non emergencies.

Students going in to grades 11 -12 next year:  If you are interested in one of the CTC programs at BRTC see Mrs.  Amber for an application.  The programs offered at the Piggott location are Welding and Industrial Electricity/Robotics.

It is time to register for ATU concurrent classes.  If you are going in to 10th – 12th grade next year and are interested in taking Comp I/II, US History I/II, World History I/II, Public Speaking, Personal Health & Wellness, Experiencing Art, or Beginning Spanish I/II – See Mrs. Amber for an application.  You must have qualifying ACT or ACT Aspire scores from 9th or 10th grade.

The 2023 Mohawk Pageant will be April 29.  Registration forms are available in the main office.

There will be a spring dance in the High School cafeteria on May 19, 7-9 p.m., for students in grades 7-12. Cost will be $5 to attend and you must sign up and pay by May 10. You will be able to buy a ticket at the door but the cost will be $8 instead of $5. Students may sign up and pay the following freshman class officers: Taylor Peters, Cason Maynard, Zander Mayberry, Caiden Mayberry, Jocelyn Fraser, or sponsor Mrs. Allman. A sign-up sheet for dates who do not attend Piggott High School will be in the office. Dates must be attending school in grades 7-12 and must be signed up by May 10.

Students are NOT to be banging on the doors in between classes.  You need to go to the front office doors if the side doors are locked.

Chess practice will be Thursday after school.
