Congratulations to Claire Bellers for signing with Crowley's Ridge College to play basketball next year.

Baccalaureate Service -- Attention Seniors: New Hope Baptist Church is hosting this year's Baccalaureate Service for the Class of 2021. This will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 in the Hope Center at New Hope. All graduates and family members are welcome. Please bring your cap and gown as you will march in to your seating. There will be music and a speaker followed by a reception to honor the seniors.

Graduation practice will be Friday morning, May 14 beginning at 9:00. The practice will be followed by the Senior Awards Ceremony and all seniors should be finished by noon.

If you are needing to attend Summer School to make up half of a credit for a core class- See Mrs. Amber to get on the list.  You will have to attend summer school.  You will not be able to do it virtually. The dates are June 2 - June 30 --8:00 - 12:00  Monday  - Thursday

Seniors:  There is a list of Honor Graduates on Mrs. Amber's door.  If you think you should be on the list and you are not, see Mrs. Amber.  Remember you must have a GPA of 3.0, scored a minimum of 19 on the English, Math, and Reading sections of the ACT, and completed Smart Core Curriculum.

Seniors:  Don't forget to pay your lunch charges in the front office as soon as possible.  Seniors who have outstanding balances (lunch charges, book fines, sports or club balances) will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

The following students will be on the Art Club trip Thursday, May 13th:  Skylar Stone, Rebecca Woolery, Jadyn Thompson, Shalyn Parrish, Callie Henson, Arin Keller, Morgan Smart, and Alyssa Blair.

Any current FBLA member in grades 9-11 who wants to be an officer for the next school year should contact Mrs. Peters today. Officer applications are due Wednesday by 3 p.m.

ACT at PHS on June 12.  Deadline for registration WITH late fees is May 21. Go to actstudent.org

Any boy or girl going into 9th-12th grades interested in playing golf next year needs to see Coach Rabjohn.   

Boys' physicals will be in the New Gym at 8:30 on May 25th.

Girls' physicals will be in the New Gym at 8:30 on May 26th.

Athletes will be placing flags for Memorial Day at the cemetery at 9:00 on May 27th.

There is a  job opening for the City of Piggott Parks & Recreation Department.  It’s a seasonal job, but can work up to 6 months. The job consists of mainly  mowing, weed-eating, and maintenance assistance.  It pays $11 and hour and it’s up to 40 hours per week. Applicants must be 18 years old and have a drivers license.  Applications are at the community center. 

Any student grades 7-11 who wants to join band next year needs to see Mr. Coyle.  Former members are also welcome to rejoin! Please speak with him before the end of the semester. 

 Also, see Mr. Coyle if anyone grades 9-11 are interested in auditioning for color guard. You do not have to be a current band member to audition!  Practice Days:  May 11, May 13, May 18, May 20 @ 3:30.   Audition Day:  May 21st @ 3:30.  

Students:  There are some students who are not going to the front of the building during class when the doors are locked.  Please do not beat on the end doors during class time.  You should enter through the front door of the building.

Students and Teachers:  The mask policy is still in effect for the remaining school year. ----You MUST WEAR MASKS in the hallway and in classes that cannot be socially distanced. Please also put your masks ON anytime you are mobile including the cafeteria during lunch.  Students must come in the cafeteria/building when arriving at school. No one is to stay in vehicles in the parking lot or leave campus.   --NO HATS are allowed on campus.  Hoods must be removed upon coming into any building.  -PLEASE carry a water bottle as you are not able to get water from the fountain unless you have a bottle.  It can be a disposable type or a reusable type.  The only drink permitted in the building is WATER. Sodas, Monster Drinks, and Drink mixes in the water is not permitted.

Students:  Please check the office for items that have been lost or misplaced.  

This Friday, May 14 is a FLEX DAY.  We will have Flex days on Fridays until further notice.  Students coming to school should report to the cafeteria.  Breakfast and Lunch will be served.

**Textbook Scholarship for Fall 2021. Each scholarship will cover the full cost of books for the Fall 2021 semester. We will choose 2 winners at UCA, Conway and UACCM, Morrilton, then one winner for CBC, Conway. We will announce the winners on Facebook and Instagram, May 15th 2021.
