All Juniors will be taking the ACT today. Students need to report to the room they will be testing in when the 7:50 bell rings.

There will be a Senior meeting on Tuesday during activity period in the library. This is to discuss After Prom.

Seniors will meet in the library during fourth hour on Thursday with Miss Vernon to vote on Who's Who.

Students attending the Drama Club field trip to see Wicked! need to see Miss Vernon today if they have not received their permission slip and lunch menu. She needs your lunch orders by the end of the day!

The Baseball team will be dismissed at 11:30 today to travel to Melbourne. Softball will be dismissed at 11:00 on Thursday to travel to Highland.

Any 7-11th grade boy interested in playing basketball next year will need to go to the new gym Thursday, March 1 during activity period.

Seniors:  A representative from TRCC Kennett will be here on Wednesday, February 28 during activity period in ROOM 212.

Tuesday 2/20ASU Marked Tree Wiring Competition: *Congratulations to Cory Fuller for winning second place and a $4000 scholarship to ASUN. Alex Gibson won 3rd place and brought home a $2000 scholarship.

Thursday 2/22NEA Weld-a-Thon  Quentin ReevesAlex GibsonJordan Simpson and finished in the top 10 out of 20 schools. They brought home a $650 metal bladed chop saw and several other prizes.

Friday 2/23Wild Hog CDE Contest in Fayetteville: FFA Land judging CDE team competed at the Wild Hog CDE contest in Fayetteville, AR and brought home 1st out of 21 teams with Cooper Harris and Matthew Cheshire placing 1st and 2nd high individuals. Land team: Cooper Harris, Matthew Cheshire, Dalton James and Ben Holcomb.

Ideas are needed for an After Prom t-shirt. Any Junior interested in submitting a design for the After Prom t-shirt should do so by Thursday, March 1 Please turn your ideas into the office.

Please excuse the following students at 8:30 on Thursday, March 8th to attend Wicked at The Orpheum. Cheerleading Try-out Sign-up sheets are in the office.  Tryouts will be Friday, March 16.

Students entering 11th or 12th grade NEXT year - and are interested in the Project H.E.A.R.T. camp June 12-15, 2018 on the ASU campus in Jonesboro -see Mrs. Amber to submit an application.  Deadline is March 16.  Project HEART is an experience that can enlighten students about future career opportunities in healthcare and to the overall well-being of their community

****Seniors:  Hannah Blankenship scholarship application is available - you must have at least a 3.0 GPA, provide proof of SAE through FFA, and submit a 500-1000 essay.  Applications are available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is April 1, 2018. 

Students:  Many students have been wearing hoods in the hallways and classes.  You may put your hood up outside but inside the building, we are not to wear hoods up on your head.  This falls under the rule of no hats.

Lost and Found has several items that have been turned in.  If you are missing a jacket or coat, please see Mrs. Shamala or Mrs. Conley.

***Seniors:  RCE Vocational Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  This is for students going to Vo Tech or a Trade school.  The application makes you eligible for one of two scholarships - $500/$2500.  Deadline is March 28, 2018.

Seniors:  Farm Credit scholarship application is available online at farmcreditmidsouth.com/community/scholarships - deadline is March 8, 2018.  You must be sponsored by a Farm Credit Midsouth customer.

Seniors: If you are of documentable Native American descent from a federally recognized tribe - see Mrs. Amber for scholarship application.  Documentation required.  Deadline is April 16, 2018

Seniors:  We are taking a College Day to tour BRTC-Paragould, ASU-Jonesboro and back to ASU-Paragould. The date is pending right now.  Any senior who would like to go may take a college day. If you have already used your day, you may still go but it will be an absence.  We should return by 2:30.

Seniors:  Scholarship opportunity at www.theafoundation.org/scholarships. This is for any your artist, poet, fashion designer, performer, or filmmaker. You do not have to major in an art-related field.  This is good for any 2-yr or 4-yr college in AR.
