Congrats to the Jr/Sr High volleyball teams for defeating Palestine-Wheatley.Congrats to the boys' tennis team for being District Co-Champions.

Congrats to the State qualifiers- Shawn-Hudson Seegraves/Brandon Palmer District Doubles' Champions, Hayden Blue/Chandler Smart 3rd place Doubles. Aden Baggett 3rd place Singles.
Congrats to the girls' tennis team for being District Runner-up.

Congrats to the State Qualifiers - Destini Chase/Callie Henson District Doubles' Champions.

***FLU SHOTS will be given to students and staff at PHS next Wednesday, October 7th. Forms will be available in the front office and must be completed and returned in order to receive the flu shot.

**School Pictures are Tuesday,Oct. 6. This will be for all grades 7-12. Senior Pictures will be made first with 7-11th grade following. Virtual students picture day for grades K-11 is Monday, Oct. 5 at the Elementary School from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Students interested in attending the FBLA Fall Conference on November 4 must pay dues and fees and complete the online registration no later than October 21. See Mrs. Peters for details.  --Any student in grades 7-12 who wants to join FBLA or ML FBLA should see Mrs Peters. Sr High and Middle Level FBLA have decided to let members choose whether they want a t- shirt this year, therefore dues will only be $10. Orders and Money for shirts will be collected later for those who want one. 

**Congratulations to the winners of the Pumpkin Hollow scarecrow contest. 1st place Gremlin created by Skylar Stone, 2nd place Beetlejuice created by Rebecca Woolery, and 3rd place Nacho Libre by Emma Graddy.

There are Buttons to honor Hunter Midkiff for sale in the office for $3. Proceeds from the button sales will go to a scholarship fund in memory of Hunter.

 2020-2021 PHS yearbook order forms were sent home. There is a payment plan to help our families.  Online ordering is available at Jostensyearbooks.com.

Students,It is time to join FCCLA! If you are in Mrs.Little's class or have been in Mrs. Little's classes you qualify to join. The dues are $15.00 again this year you will also receive a Sonic card value of at least $5.00. See Mrs. Little to join.

Please continue to wear your masks. The masks should also be ABOVE your nose.

Seniors:  The American Legion Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  You must be a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Applications must be received by March 12,2021.

Juniors and Seniors:  The Arkansas School Boards Association is holding a personal essay/speaking contest.  Email Mrs. Amber if you are interested.

*** University of Central Arkansas is hosting a preview night  scheduled for Oct. 13 on Zoom. Students will learn about both of their honors programs, the Schedler Honors College and the University Scholars Program, as well as hear from current honors students, take a virtual tour of the honors housing, and learn about the application process.All high school seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to UCA's Honors College.  See Mrs. Amber for a flyer containing more information.

***Attention Senior Athletes: The ASHOF awards nine $1,000 scholarships to deserving Arkansas student-athlete high school seniors. https://www.arksportshalloffam...   CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY: Must be a graduating senior from an Arkansas high school (AAA member) for the school year 2020-2021. Must be attending an Arkansas college or junior college (private or public) as a freshman the following fall 2021. Students attending out of state colleges are not eligible. Must submit an essay to the ASHOF for evaluation. The essay should state how sports has positively impacted your life. This essay must be submitted online by December 31, 2020. All submissions after this date will not be considered.    THE ESSAY SHOULD BE NO LONGER THAN THE FRONT OF ONE STANDARD TYPEWRITTEN PAGE, SINGLE-SPACED. Essays longer than one page will NOT be accepted. Quality over quantity. Only the first 100 essays submitted to the ASHOF will be considered for review for the scholarships.
