***Teachers:  Progress Reports go out Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Please excuse  the Golf team at 8:00 today (Tuesday).  The Golf team will be participating in District Play Wednesday and Thursday this week. Volleyball will be dismissed today (Tuesday) at 2:00.

Congratulations to the Boys' Tennis Team for defeating Harding Academy and Riverside  and the Boys' Golf Team for defeating Hoxie, Marmaduke, and Rector and Mazin Chase for being a medalist.

Teachers:  There will class meeting this  Thursday, Sept. 14 to discuss Homecoming Floats:

7th - Bandroom 8th - Library 9th - Middle Gym 10th - New Gym 11th - Cafeteria 12th - Old Gym

*7-11th Grade Pictures will be made on TODAY, Tuesday, Sept. 12. Please excuse yearbook staff  Helena Andrews and Rebecca Edwards to help.

The 2017 edition of The Mohawk will be distributed tomorrow. Students should receive bills if they owe a balance from their English teachers today. Extra copies will be available for $45 each.

Beta dues for old members are $10 and need to be paid to Mrs. Flowers or Mrs. Coomer by the end of October. 

New Beta members need to turn in their $20 dues and letters to Mrs. Flowers or Mrs. Coomer by the end of October. 

Any student who was invited to join Beta but wishes to decline the invitation needs to see Mrs. Flowers by the end of the day Friday

The following Beta elementary workers need to sign in with Ms. Katina by 7:15 A.M. on Thursday, September 14:  Georgina Bautista, Molly Lambert, Hannah Blades, and Avery Little.  They should sign-in in the office with Mrs. Shamala before going to first hour. 

Only those paid FCCLA members will be considered towork at the Clay County Fair Youth Day this Friday September 15Must see Mrs. Little by this Wednesday to pay and sign-up.

 The following students are Jr. Fair Board members that will be out of school to work the fair on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week: Reagan Ralph, Braden Ralph, Erin Dixon, & Hannah Powell.

FFA Members who will be out Wednesday are Hannah Smart, Kaitlyn Jackson, and Daniel Spinks. 

The Mohawk football brotherhood is looking for 2 people interested in the audio visual area. We need 2 good individuals who can be at practices and games to film from the booth and from the endzones. The filmmakers will work directly under Coach Hearn. They need to be well rounded in the technology of the HD cameras. If interested please contact Coach Shawn Hearn.

FCM will meet next Wednesday to discuss plans for See You At The Pole.

Softball meeting on Tuesday, Sept 26 during activity period.

Seniors:  The AES scholarship deadline is October 6, 2017.  Information and application is available at  http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm

Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Scholarship application is available online at scholars.horatioalger.org  - the eligibility criteria is online also. Deadline is October25, 2017.

SENIORS:  ASU representative Sept. 18, ATU Representative Sept. 26, U of A representative Oct. 3, WBC representative Oct. 4, and College Fair Oct 17.

For students who are 16 or older,  Sonic has left some cards in the office for you if you would like to apply for the new Sonic here in Piggott. 

FBLA will sell cookies at the beginning of 7th period  on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays to classrooms. Cookies are still $.75 each. We may not make it to every class every time we sell, but will alternate to make sure we get to every class at least once each week

There will be a Beta Meeting on  Wednesday, Sept. 13 for all 9th and 10th Grade Beta members and those invited to join Beta.

It's time to Join FCCLA! Students in grades 9-12 interested in joining FCCLA are to see Mrs. Little. 

Juniors, You must pay your class dues ASAP.  See your CAPS advisor for what you owe.  November 1, 2017 is the deadline, your dues must be paid or arrangements made by this date. 

Students interested in joining Senior High FBLA should see Mrs. Peters. Dues are $10 and must be paid by September 22 if you wish to attend Fall Conference in Jonesboro. 

Any FBLA member who would like to work on the FBLA educational booth at the fair should meet at the exhibit building at the Clay County Fairgrounds tomorrow (Wednesday) any time between 4-7. Those who work will receive FBLA points. Prizes for most points will be awarded at the end of the year.

 Josten's will be her Wednesday, October 11 at 9:00 for Senior Graduation Supply and Junior Ring presentations.  They will return the next Wednesday, October 18 to take the Jr. and Sr. orders.

There have been several backpacks and lunch bags/boxes turned into the office. Please see Mrs. Shamala if you have lost or misplaced yours. 

Students:  When you arrive at school, you must come into the cafeteria.  Please do not stay in vehicles or walk off campus. Duty teachers will make room for you when you come in the doors.

Students:  Do NOT park in the VFW Building Parking Lot or by the Old Gym.
