Congratulations to the 7th Grade/Jr High/Sr High Girls Basketball teams for defeating Gosnell last night.

Please excuse the following students this morning to paint faces:Jamara Ball, Hayley Miller, Jawslyn Gates, Makayla Allman, Abby Dutka, Abby McCluskey, Madison Bowers, Amber Reed, and Jordan Tate.

Homecoming Assembly will be at 1:45 Friday in the New Gym.  Homecoming Pep Rally will follow the assembly.  Royalty will be dismissed at 11:00 on Friday morning.

7-12 PACE will have their yearbook picture taken Tuesday at 8:30 in the new gym.

 All Senior Profiles need to be turned in to Mrs. Natalie no later than next Thursday, Jan. 23.   There will be a SENIOR class meeting next Friday.

Who's Who Assembly will Tuesday, Jan 21.  Everyone is asked to dress nicely as pictures will be taken for the yearbook following the assembly.

Deadline for the February 8 ACT with late fees is Friday, Jan. 17.

HAT DAY- Thursday, Jan. 23 students will be able to pay $1 to wear a hat/cap at school.  Proceeds will go to the Polar Plunge that benefits the Special Olympics team.

Please excuse Emma Graddy and Braden Taylor from class at 11:25 on Friday, January 17th to come to the Band room.  They are attending a band clinic at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for the rest of the day.

Sr. High and Middle Level FBLA competitors need to turn in their permission forms for their district conferences to Mrs. Peters as soon as possible. 

Middle Level FBLA testing for competitors will be Tuesday, January 28 at the beginning of 2nd period in the high school library.

Last chance to order a personalized yearbook is Jan. 31. Yearbooks now start at $45. Order forms were sent home this week or you can order online at Jostens.com

Students interested in applying for the "Future Agents in Training" classes, see Mrs. Amber.  The classes will be April 10, 17, and 24th in Fort Smith, AR.  Applications are due Feb 6.  You must be 16 years old to enroll.

The Art Club will be face painting in the art room 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th period Friday.  The cost is $1 per cheek and $3 for whole face.

Blood Drive will be Wednesday, February 12.  See Mrs. Amber to sign-up.  16 year olds must have a permission slip signed.  Mrs. Amber has the permission slips in her office.

***Juniors:  If you are planning on participating in Prom this year, you must pay your dues by February 28. Only Juniors with at least $40 dues paid will be able to vote for prom themes and participate on committees.

Tuesday, Jan 28, FCCLA will take a group picture during activity period.

A representative from Williams Baptist University will be here on Jan 29 during activity period in the library for seniors and juniors interested in attending that college.

Thursday, Jan 30, Juniors will have a class meeting.

The Beta yearbook picture will be taken in the new gym on Tuesday, January 21.

There are 13 students who will be are going to the state Beta convention and will be out all day on Thursday and Friday, January 23 and 24.  Madison Arenaz, Taylor Blackwell, Emberleigh Clenney, Shianne Higdon, Tessa Holcomb, Kassidy Krause, Shawnee Latimer, Taylor Seal, Skylar Stone, Jake Toombs, Lily Wagster, Olivia Woolard, and Rebecca Woolery.

These students will attend the FBLA District Leadership Conference on Thursday, January 23. LOST AND FOUND: There are several items that have been turned in to the office.  If you are missing a jacket or other item, please check in the office ASAP.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Feb 17 and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
