There will be a Pep Rally on Monday during activity period. Please excuse the Sr High Cheerleaders at 9:15. Senior High cheerleaders will be selling spirit ribbons on Monday for 50 cents. 

LOST AND FOUND: There are several items that have been turned in to the office.  If you are missing a jacket or other item, please check in the office ASAP.

Perfect Attendance day for 1st nine weeks is this Friday, November 22.  The English teachers have the lists.  Remember that a failing grade at progress reports can keep you from getting the P.A. day. If you have questions about your attendance, please ask your English teacher or Mrs. Conley ASAP.

Just a reminder BRTC will be hosting a FAFSA Night on Tuesday, November 19.  We will be set up in the Administration Building from 5:00pm through 7:00pm.  This is open to everyone who attends any school and at any age.  

Drama Club: Stop by Miss Vernon's room to pick up permission slips to see Elf: The Musical on Thursday, Nov. 21. Tickets are $17. She has reserved TEN tickets. Also pick up audition materials for Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook if you are interested. Auditions will be right after school Wednesday and Thursday afternoon this week (Nov. 20 & 21).

Progress reports go home next Thursday, Nov. 21.  All grades should be in the computer by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Reminder to all Junior Historians that your permission slips for the upcoming field trip need to be turned in ASAP.

Betas don't forget that the fruit and meat fundraiser forms and money must be turned in to Mrs. Flowers by Thursday, November 21.

Betas who plan to attend the state convention in January need to have their money turned in to Mrs. Flowers by Monday, December 2.

Reminder from Mr. Seegraves:  Pajama bottoms, pajama tops, house shoes, and blankets are  NOT permitted per student handbook.

The Art Club will have a meeting on Wednesday, November 20 in the art room.  All members need to see Mrs. Tate before the meeting.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

The Department of English and World Languages is sponsoring its 46th annual Creative Writing Scholarship Contest! Eligibility: Any high school senior is eligible. The Award: Six scholarships worth as much as $1,500 will be awarded. These scholarships may be used to pursue any degree program at Arkansas Tech, including the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing offered in Arkansas. Submission Process: To enter, send a poem, a small group of poems, a short story, a novel chapter, or a piece of dramatic writing to the address provided below. The student's name, address, and phone number should be written on the back of each page of your mailed entry. Electronic entries can be sent to engl@atu.edu<mailto:engl@atu.edu>. The U.S. Department of State's Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for undergraduate child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Nov 22, Feb 17, and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
