Congratulations to the Sr High Football team for defeating Corning last night and winning the Rice Bowl trophy for the 8th straight year. Way to go guys!

MEET THE BASKETBALL MOHAWKS-  November 8th beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. There will be tailgating, showcase games, and Seniors vs Coaches.  Free Chili Dogs!

Deadline without late fees for the December 14 ACT test given at PHS is Friday, November 8.

There will be a Junior Historians meeting in room 207 on Friday during Activity Period.

There will be a Drama Club meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

All Beta members need to see Mrs. Flowers sometime today (Monday, November 11) to pick up their fundraiser order forms. Money and forms will be due by Thursday, November 21.

The following FCCLA members will be competing at the District STAR Event competition Tue.  FCCLA members interested in going to the District 3 meeting in Jonesboro on Thursday December 5 must see Mrs. Little by tomorrow Friday Nov. 8.

There will be a FCCLA meeting Tuesday, Nov. 19 during activity period in the FCS room.

The FFA Club Picture will be taken on Wednesday, Nov 13 during activity period.

The PJHS Cheerleaders are doing a "Pie in the face" fundraiser.  You may vote for whichever person that you would like to see get pied this Friday night at the Meet the Basketball Mohawks event.  The participates are Police Chief Jeremi Wicker, Mayor Travis Williams, School Board Member Chris Roberts, and Country Mart owner Chuck Emerson.  The Buckets are in the high school office and at Country Mart.  Proceeds will go to the Burns family.  You must vote today or tomorrow.

Gift Basket Giveaway: There are 4 gift baskets full of goodies that will be given away this Friday night at meet the Mohawks.  $1.00 a chance or sellers arm length for $10.00.  All proceeds will be given to the Hope Burns family.  If you would like to see what is in the baskets stop by Mrs. Little's room between classes. Art Club's baskets has lots of snacks $25.00 value, Beta basket has lots of snacks and a Visa gift card worth $25.00 total basket worth $50.00. The FCCLA baskets worth about $30.00 each, lots of treats, tshirts (one large long sleeve homecoming t-shirt, football, This Girl Can Sign and other misc. items.  Please help the cause and buy your chances.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Nov 22, Feb 17, and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
