Congratulations to the Senior High Volleyball Team for an outstanding season and effort yesterday.  We are so proud of you!  Also, Coach Seegraves wants to give a shout-out to the students that went on the pep bus yesterday "You were awesome!"

All Seniors who do not have Mrs. Flowers for English class and all Senior Sponsors should go to Mrs. Flower's classroom # 225 during activity period. Senior Composite Proof Pictures are here.

Everyone is to stay off of the Middle and New Gym floors today and until further notice.

????Pep Rally Monday during Activity period for Powderpuff Football.

Thanks to the generosity of Piggott State Bank the winners of the costume contest did very well.  Costume Winners:1st William Lawton-$50.00, 2nd Amber Reed and Ryleigh Laden-$25.00 each, 3rd Easton Laden-$10.00, Honorable Mention -Tana Benson $5.00

Piggott State Bank also gave cash prizes for the  pumpkins 1st $25.00 2nd-$10,00 and 3rd- $5.00 place .  This money will help the class cook, again.

FCCLA members who are interested in helping with the Powderpuff Game need to sign up.  See an FCCLA Officer or come by Mrs. Little's room.  Special incentive  for those who will work on the clean-up crew.

The following seniors have not turned in baby pictures for the yearbook. You have until Monday, Nov. 4 to get them turned in to Mrs. Natalie.  Jamara Ball, Lucas Chase, Austyn Crow, Destany Graves, Hayden Jackson, Amber Reed, Haley Shumate, Daniel Spinks, and Taylor Williamson.

The PJHS Cheerleaders are doing a "Pie in the face" fundraiser.  You may vote for whichever person that you would like to see get pied next Friday night at the Meet the Mohawks event.  The participates are Police Chief Jeremi Wicker, Mayor Travis Williams, School Board Member Chris Roberts, and Country Mart owner Chuck Emerson.  The Buckets are in the high school office and at Country Mart.  Proceeds will go to the Burns family. 

Update:  Date Changed to Friday --Paid members of the Art Club will have a meeting in the art room during activity peiod.  Members need to see Mrs. Tate before then.

The National FFA Convention will be in Indianapolis week Oct 28-Nov 2.  Ethan Ralph, Bryon Poole, Shawnee Latimer, Olivia Woodard, Emma Gossett, Elise Gossett, Micha Harrell, Natalie Boyd, and Kalaya Cole.

THIS WEEK in SPORTS:   Sr Football will play at Newport tonight at 7:00. Dress warmly and go support our Mohawks.

School picture make-up day will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Students who were absent on the first picture day need to have their pictures taken on make-up day even if they are not buying packages. If you purchased a package but would like to have your child’s picture retaken, there will be a $10.00 retake fee. You will also need to return the original package.  

Monday Night Football coming soon! Powderpuff Football will be on Monday night Nov. 4 at 6:00 at Parker Field. 

 Update:  Date Change -ASVAB for all Juniors Wednesday November 6 in the Middle Gym.

There will be a Sr. High Pep Rally next Thursday, November 7 during activity period.

MEET THE MOHAWKS-  November 8th at 5:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. There will be tailgating, showcase games, and Seniors vs Coaches.  Free Chili Dogs!

Deadline without late fees for the December 14 ACT test given at PHS is Friday, November 8.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Nov 2, Nov 22, Feb 17, and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  Sixt Rent A Car be awarding 5 students $5,000 towards their study at any 2 or 4 year course at an accredited university.  To learn more about the  scholarship please check out:  https://www.sixt.com/sixt-scholars/ Deadline is November 30, 2019

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
