Parent-Teacher Conferences will be today from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m.  This will be a normal day for students with dismissal at regular time.  There will no school on Friday, Oct. 25.

Congrats to the jr high volleyball team for defeating Harrisburg and finishing 3rd in the district tournament.

Any senior high FBLA member interested in competing should meet in the library this Wednesday during Activity Period. Please make plans to attend even if you have already spoken to Mrs. Peters about your competitive event.

Paid members of the Art Club will have a meeting on October 31st in the art room during activity peiod.  Members need to see Mrs. Tate before then.

Congratulations to PACE seminar classes for receiving Reserve Champion at the State Fair for their booth exhibit.

THIS WEEK in SPORTS:  Sr Volleyball will be playing in the SR District Tournament in Cave City on Thursday.  Jr Football will be at Osceola on Thursday night and Sr Football will play at home on Friday vs. Osceola for SENIOR NIGHT.

The Sr. High volleyball team will be headed to state next week. They will be dismissed Monday afternoon and play Tuesday at either 3 or 5 o'clock. Please excuse the Sr high Volleyball team, Emma Langley, Maddy Wintizer, and Morgan Rahn.

There will be a Pep bus for students in grades 9-12 that want to go watch the volleyball girls on October 29th in the 3A State Volleyball tournament in Paris, AR.  Tickets are $6.00 for the game and money will be needed for food throughout the day. The sign up sheet will be in the office. Seats are limited to the first 40.

School picture make-up day will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Students who were absent on the first picture day need to have their pictures taken on make-up day even if they are not buying packages. If you purchased a package but would like to have your child’s picture retaken, there will be a $10.00 retake fee. You will also need to return the original package.  

Anyone interested in Jr/Sr High chess needs to meet in Ms. Penny Toombs’ room (across from the cafeteria) during activity period on Tuesday, October 29th.

It's not too late to join FBLA! Students have until October 31 to pay the $15 dues.

Monday Night Football coming soon! Powderpuff Football will be on Monday night Nov. 4 at 6:30 at Parker Field. 

Dates to Remember:  Blood Drive Thursday, October 24  see Mrs. Amber to sign up.  You have to be 16 to give blood - 16 year olds will need a permission slip signed  - those are available in Mrs. Amber's office.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

The following seniors have not turned in baby pictures for the yearbook. You have until Monday, Nov. 4 to get them turned in to Mrs. Natalie.  Megan Burke, Jamara Ball, Lucas Chase, Austyn Crow, Destany Graves, Hayden Jackson, Amber Reed, Haley Shumate, Daniel Spinks, and Taylor Williamson.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Nov 2, Nov 22, Feb 17, and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
