Piggott High School Announcements 4-23-20

AMI Packets may be dropped off on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29 in front of the Elementary School for elementary students and the High School New Gym for high school students.  There will be Grade-level bins placed under the awning for the packets.  Please remember to put names on each packet and try to keep them together.  There will be another AMI packet drop off date in May for additional AMI work.  

***HIGH SCHOOL AMI --APRIL 27 - MAY 15-- Everyday - 1)Read for 20 minutes and write down the main topic and what you liked or didn't like about the reading material.  2) Keep a journal- write down events, weather, feelings about lockdown, etc.  3)Write down 5 math problems on your grade level and show how to solve each problem.  Additional Weekly AMI work**April 28 - May 1 also write down 5 positive events that have occurred during this time.  **May 4-8 write an essay about what policies you would have in place for an event like this and list who would be in charge and what responsibilities would be expected for the time.**May 11-15 -- Write an essay about how the pandemic has changed your life and how things will be different in the future.

Elementary and High School Yearbooks are in!!! These may be picked up on Friday, May 1 from 8-12 in front of the Elementary School building for both schools. Please stay in your vehicle. Staff will be available to bring your yearbook to you.  If you have not paid your balance, you must do so at the time of the pickup.  If you are unable to pick up your yearbook at this time, there will be another pick-up date set in the future.  High school yearbooks are $45.  Elementary yearbooks are $30. There are few extra yearbooks available. 

We will continue to provide Breakfast and Lunches until the end of the school year. Thank you to everyone who has helped in providing the meals for our students.

Personal Item Pick-up--Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6 will be the days that students are allowed to come into the buildings to get personal items. This will be from 8-4 pm and you must come through the front office.   Only 10 students will be allowed in the building at a time.

Graduation has not been cancelled at this time.  We are planning to try to have a graduation ceremony on the football field at a later date if at all possible.  Seniors are being honored with poster sized photos of the Senior Class around town in businesses on the town square and of the school page on facebook.

PROM 2020 is cancelled.
