Monday, March 4 will be the BMI/Scoliosis Screening for the 8th and 10 grade students.

STUDENTS:  Do not park in the New Gym Parking Lot on Friday due to the Special Olympics Basketball Competition.  You may park in the gravel lots across the street from the New Gym or in the parking lot in the back of the New Gym.

**NOTICE-  WE WILL NOT HAVE GRAB'N'GO ON FRIDAY DUE TO SPECIAL OLYMPICS---We now have our Grab'n'Go cart set up in the high school cafeteria. Any student that didn't get breakfast will have a chance to eat again during the Activity period. It will be quick foods not hot foods. You must stay in the cafeteria with the food.

Any girl who is or has been in track who still has their uniform needs to bring it to room 240 before lunch or Coach Slaven's office after lunch this week.

The Baseball game for Friday has been moved to Rector. Please excuse the baseball team at 2:00.  The Softball game is at Paragould on Friday.  Please excuse the softball team at 1:00.

The junior class is selling Boston Butts for an After Prom fundraiser. They will be 25.00 dollars. If you would like to order, please let Sherry Taylor know. Orders must be turned in by Friday, March 1.They will be ready for pick up on Saturday, March 9th at the PHS Gym. 

Special Olympics Basketball will be FRIDAY, March 1. 

Friday, March 1 will be the annual Special Olympics Skills Competition. Students will be dismissed to the new gym for the opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Teachers may keep their classes in the gyms until the end of 4th hour. With the competition being split between the middle gym and new gym, we are unsure how long the entire event will last. We expect the awards ceremony to be occurring by 2nd lunch.

A number of students will be working that day. ***Mohawk Baseball, will be be selling stickers for hat day Friday before 1st hour in the cafeteria.  Stickers will be $1 and all proceeds will benefit Special Olympics

The following FBLA members will be selling t shirts for Special Olympics on Friday and should meet in Mrs. Peters’s room at 8 am after checking in with their 1st period teacher:  Rosie Garcia, Tyson Peters, Skylar Stone, Jacob Williams

The following ART students need to go to Mrs. Tate's room at 8:15 FRIDAY morning:  Jamara Ball, Bailey Davis, Harley Earnheart, Jawslyn Gates, Ashley Jeffries, and Hayley Miller.

Shawn-Hudson Seegraves will be competing in the state spelling bee this Saturday, March 2. Please excuse Shawn at 12:00 on Friday to go to Conway.  

There will be meeting of the Junior Class Parents and Students on Sunday, March 3 in the High School Library.

Juniors:  Class Meeting on Monday

Cheer tryouts for the 2019-2020 school year will be March 15. Tryout clinic will be March 11-March 14. Sign up sheets and information packets are in the office. 

Auditions for the spring production by the Drama Club will be from 4:30 to 6:30 on Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7th. Students must pick up an audition packet and conflict sheet and return them before they audition. Packets will be available by Wednesday of this week.

**SENIORS: Jostens will be here on Friday, March 29 to deliver senior cap and gowns

Juniors and Seniors: There are sign up sheets in the office to sign up for after prom and for them to include there dates that they will be taking with them.

Seniors: SEMO @ Kennett will be having fall registration dates on Tuesday, March 5. If you have any questions you can call Karen Tucker at 573-888-0513.

Seniors:  Farm Credit scholarship is available online at farmcreditmidsouth.com/community/scholarships - deadline is March 8, 2019.  Applicants must be sponsored by a Farm Credit Midsouth customer.

Seniors:  The Reverend Charlie E. and Cinderella S. Taylor Sr. Foundation scholarship application is available at http://www.cctaylorfoundation.org/application.html Deadline is March 31, 2019

Seniors:  American Legion scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Must be child, grandchild, or great grandchild of American Legionnaire.  Application must be received at their department on or before March 12, 2019.

Seniors:  MFA scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is March 15, 2019.  Consideration goes to applicants furthering their education related to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life.

SENIORS:  The Arkansas School Plant Management Association scholarship application is for any graduating senior planning to attend a college/university, vocational-technical or trade school who has at least a 3.0 GPA and at least a 19 on the ACT.  You must complete the application, essay, and 2 recommendation letters. See Mrs. Amber, Mrs. Conley, or Ms. Rachel for more information. Deadline is April 1.

Seniors:  The Hannah Blankenship Memorial Scholarship is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  This scholarship will be awarded to a young woman pursuing an agricultural field of study.  Applications must be submitted by April 1.

Applications for the Arkansas Rural Education Scholarship for School employee's child is available.  Due date is  April 5, 2019.  See Mrs. Amber or Mrs. Conley for application.

Seniors:  The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  You must have a "B" average to apply.  The deadline to receive applications is April 1, 2019
