Teachers:  Progress report grades must be put in the computer ASAP. Progress Reports will go out on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Announcement from the Principal:  Students are not to be in the gyms unless they are supervised by a school employee.  This is after school, lunch time, activity period, etc.

CHANGE: There will be an Art Club meeting  Thursday, November 15th during activity period for paid members only.  Mrs. Tate would like all paid Art Club Members to see her sometime today due to possible winter weather on Thursday.

SENIORS:  If you plan to add pictures to the Memorial Ad for the yearbook, Mr. Johnson needs those today, tomorrow, or Friday.  He also needs help with placing the pictures in the ad during activity period in the library on those days.  Thank you.

Mrs. Sherry needs to set up times to take Club/Organization Pictures for the yearbook.  Please email her.

TEACHERS: Reminder: High School faculty meeting after school TODAY has been postponed until Wed. Nov. 28.  Make AMI packets for  at least 1 day to hand out Wednesday just in case the weather is bad.

Permission slips for the Junior Historian field trip on November 30th have to be turned in by this Thursday, no exceptions.

Archery sign ups will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Each student that signs up will need to pick up an Archery Guidelines sheet. 7th and 8th graders that sign up must meet the requirements to make the team. They must also be able to attend the 3 day workshop.

ML FBLA members interested in competing in this year's district competition MUST meet in Mrs. Peters's classroom Wednesday during Activity Period.

The following students will be attending the field trip to see The Nutcracker in Jonesboro on Thursday, Nov. 15. We will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. from the new gym parking lot. NOTE: IN CASE OF SCHOOL CLOSURE, THIS TRIP WILL BE ON FRIDAY, NOV. 16, IF THE FOA IS CLOSED THURSDAY: Destiny Potter, Destiny Hart, Audrey Little , Jake Williams, Rachelle Underwood, Destiny Maine, Rebekah Potts, Jacynda Vierling, Bree Musgraves, Aaron Mauldin, Charidy Featherston, Olivia Woolard 

If you would like to take a concurrent class from ASU please see Mrs. Amber by November 30.  Theses classes include Intro to Psychology, Intro to Sociology, World Lit.  You must have qualifying ACT scores.

Seniors:  Deadline for Senior Ads for the Yearbook online is November 16.  

Late Registration Deadline for the Dec. 8 ACT test given at PHS is Nov. 18.

LOST AND FOUND:  There have been several items from the Middle Gym turned into the office.  Please see Mrs. Shamala or Mrs. Conley if you are missing a jacket, etc.

Students planning to take the Driver's Test in November have until next Thursday, November 15 to see Mrs. Shamala about paperwork.

Betas: fruit and meat orders and money must be submitted to Mrs. Flowers or Mrs. Coomer by Friday, November 16. No orders can be taken after the 16th.

College day - Nov 14 - Austin Johnson

Perfect Attendance Day is  Friday, Nov. 16.  Thanksgiving Break will be all week Nov. 19-23.

The following students will be attending the FBLA National Fall Leadership Conference in Charlotte, NC this week, Wednesday (dismiss at the end of 6th pd) - Friday, November 14-16: Matthew Cheshire, Elise Gossett, Rylea Harmon, Micha Harrell, Tyson Peters, Madison Rahn, Carlie Vancil

Seniors:  A representative from ATU will be here on Wednesday, Dec 5 during activity period in the library.

Seniors:  The Hagan Scholarship is available online.  Application deadline is November 15, 2018.  Application and eligibility requirements are online at www.hsfmo.org

Seniors:  American Legion scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Must be child, grandchild, or great grandchild of American Legionnaire.  Application must be received at their department on or before March 12, 2019.

SENIORS: Seven License2HOWL Scholarships are available for the 2018-19 academic year for incoming freshmen at Arkansas State University. These scholarships are valued at $5,000 for the year and are renewable for recipients who continue to meet criteria and re-apply.Beginning this year, we will be utilizing the application process for incoming freshmen through the University’s privately funded scholarship process. The application link will be available from December 2, 2018 - February 1, 2019. 

L2H scholarships are for Arkansas residents who will be full-time freshmen on the Jonesboro campus, have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a high school GPA of 3.25 or above. Also, please note the acceptable GPA has changed from 3.5 to 3.25 in an effort to accommodate more students, giving them the opportunity to receive one of these awards. The selection committee will evaluate demonstrated leadership qualities and student involvement.

Seniors:  If you plan on majoring in education and enroll in an Arkansas college you can apply for the AAFC Scholarship. Go to www.theaaea.org.  Click "Constituent Groups", “AAFC”, then “AAFC Scholarship.”  The completed application must be received on or before January 10, 2019.
