There will be no school TOMORROW, Friday, Oct 26. 

Flu Shot Packets are available.  Flu Shot Clinic will be next Tuesday October 30.

FAFSA night will be Monday, Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. This is for all Seniors and their parents to fill out financial aid applications.

Senior Composite Pictures are here.  Letters have been sent home to parents to set up a time to view them.   Deadline is October 31, 2018.

The following Powderpuff Coaches and Team Captains need to come to the FCS room today during activity period, today: Emma Riddle, Elise Gossett, Taylor Smart, Bryon Poole,  Claire Bellers, Emma Shaw, Tanner Dixon, Sassy Rahn, Carlie Vancil, Cooper Harris, Harley Earnheart, Haley Springsteen, Baily Davis and Luke Boyd

FCCLA will be sponsoring a costume contest here at school on the day of Halloween (Wednesday, Oct. 31).   You must pay a $1.00 to wear a costume. You need to check in at the cafeteria Wednesday morning early enough to get to 1st hour on time.   Once paid you will receive a ribbon to indicate you have paid. You will be entered in the costume contest. There will prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. --Teachers who dress up and pay a $1.00 will be entered into the teacher costume contest and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places..

The following students will be attending National FFA Convention (October 23-27th): Brent Gossett, Austin Fair, Chandler Smart, Morgan Smart, Emma Shaw, Katelyn Jackson, Presley Tullos, and Madison VanderKooi.

A representative from the Air National Guard will have a table set up for a lunch visit on Thursday, Oct 25th.

Junior High Football will play their last game of the season at Newport on Thursday.

Please allow the following FCCLA members to come to the FCS room each day during activity period through November 5:   Carly Benbrook, Jordon Leggett, , Micha Ermert, Adel Fuwell

Also, these are the FCCLA members who will be competing in STAR Events and will be out all day Tuesday, November 6:  Carly Benbrook, Jordon Leggett, , Micha Ermert, Adel Fuwell,Ashlyn Roberts, Aliya Shultz, Kaylee Smith, and Jordan Tate.

"DRAMA CLUB MEMBERS:  If you have not returned your slip from the letter distributed at the last meeting, tickets will not be ordered for you to attend trips. We will be attending  Little Shop of Horrors the following evening.  Miss Vernon will be ordering Little Shop tickets soon. They are $15. There is room for two or three more people to join in on this trip.  At this point five tickets for Les Mis have not been claimed. They will be sold on a first come first served basis. They are $37.25."

Art Club members need to pay their dues by October 31st.

Seniors:  Deadline for Senior Ads for the Yearbook online is November 16.

FCCLA is sponsoring a Powderpuff Volleyball Game. The dates are Friday, November 2 and the Battle of the Sexes will be Monday, November 5. Games still starting at 6:00.  Participants who have not paid may see Mrs. Little to pay the $3.00.Also, consent forms are ready for pick up and are due back by this Thursday, Oct. 25.

FBLA dues are $10 and can be paid to Mrs. Peters through the end of October. FBLA T-shirts may be ordered until the last day to pay dues, which is October 31. Dues are $10.

Seniors:  Horatio Alger Scholarship is available online at scholars.horatioalger.org -- deadline is October 25 

Seniors:  The Hagan Scholarship is available online.  Application deadline is November 15, 2018.  Application and eligibility requirements are online at www.hsfmo.org

Seniors:  American Legion scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Must be child, grandchild, or great grandchild of American Legionnaire.  Application must be received at their department on or before March 12, 2019.

SENIORS: Seven License2HOWL Scholarships are available for the 2018-19 academic year for incoming freshmen at Arkansas State University. These scholarships are valued at $5,000 for the year and are renewable for recipients who continue to meet criteria and re-apply.Beginning this year, we will be utilizing the application process for incoming freshmen through the University’s privately funded scholarship process. The application link will be available from December 2, 2018 - February 1, 2019. 

L2H scholarships are for Arkansas residents who will be full-time freshmen on the Jonesboro campus, have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a high school GPA of 3.25 or above. Also, please note the acceptable GPA has changed from 3.5 to 3.25 in an effort to accommodate more students, giving them the opportunity to receive one of these awards. The selection committee will evaluate demonstrated leadership qualities and student involvement.

Juniors & Seniors interested in majoring in Theatre---ASU is offering a Launch program on November 10.  It is free.  See Mrs. Amber for registration.  Deadline is Nov 1.
