Deadline for Baby pictures for the yearbook was last Friday.

Congratulations to the 7th/Jr/Sr High Volleyball for defeating Harrisburg last night.

Congratulations to the following students for being names All District in Tennis:  Cooper Harris, Michael Palmer, Destini Chase, Maggie Williams, Brooke Roberts, Macey Williams, Shi Higdon, and Callie Henson.

Art students received 14 blue, 3 red, 9 white, and 17 honorable mention ribbons at the Delta Fair last week and brought home a total of $494.  Pumpkin Hollow scarecrow winners were 1st place Louis Lin and Corbin Reagan, 2nd place Madison Bowers, 3rd place Amber and Jewel reed.  Theme winners were Presley Tullos and Maddie Vanderkooi.

Please excuse Isaac Langley to play in the State Golf Tournament on Monday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 2.

**If you are interested in joining the Spanish Club, you should see Ms. Cheng asap. 

Jr/Sr Volleyball will play at Palestine-Wheatley on Tuesday, Oct. 2.  Please dismiss at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, 7th/Jr/Sr High Volleyball will play Newport at home beginning at 4:30.

All senior high and middle level FBLA members who paid to attend Fall Conference next Thursday in Jonesboro should see Mrs. Peters some time today to pick up your permission slip. Signed permission slips should be returned by this Friday.

Tennis will play in the State Tournament in Conway next Monday, Oct 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9.  The Overall State Tournament will be in Little Rock on Oct 15-16.

Jr High/7th Grade Football will play Walnut Ridge at Home on Thursday, Oct. 4

Please excuse the following FCCLA members this Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018.  They will be attending the FCCLA District 3 Planning and Election Meeting: Jordon Leggett, Jordan Tate, Kaylee Smith, Aliya Shultz, Carly Benbrook, Shi Higdon, and Kassidy Krause.

The blood drive is scheduled for TODAY, Tuesday,October 2.

Drama club meeting on Wednesday, October 3, in the library.

Student Council will meet Thursday, Oct. 4 in Mrs. Conley's room #214.  The student council is made up of all Class and Club Presidents and Representatives.

Senior Composite Pictures will be taken on Thursday, Oct.4. Swafford Photography has called to keep with the original date.

Seniors:  ASU representative will be here TODAY, Tuesday, Oct 2 during activity period in the library for seniors interested.

FCA will meet on Friday morning during activity period in the Old Gym.

Students: Football Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 12th.  

Drama Club students who are attending the Les Mis Field Trip, the tickets are $37.25.  Miss Vernon will need half (about $18.62) by this Friday, Oct. 5 and the other half by Nov. 5.

FBLA dues are $10 and can be paid to Mrs. Peters through the end of October. 

FBLA will begin selling cookies at the beginning of 7th period. This year we will sell on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would prefer us NOT to come to your class, please send me an email early in the day. Also, if you have any issues with sellers, please report them to me immediately so I can handle the situation.

The Yearbook Staff will be meeting in the computer lab during activity period every day. 

Seniors:  Horatio Alger Scholarship is available online at scholars.horatioalger.org -- deadline is October 25 

The Piggott School Board has approved the Prom/Homecoming Dress Code.  This will be available on the website and copies will be given to all Junior and Senior girls and boys.  Any dates to the prom will also be expected to adhere to this code as well.

Juniors & Seniors interested in majoring in Theatre---ASU is offering a Launch program on November 10.  It is free.  See Mrs. Amber for registration.  Deadline is Nov 1.

The yearbook would like to ask all club/activity advisors and coaches to feel free to submit any pictures of events to the yearbook staff or Mrs. Sherry Taylor. 

Football Players who are Seniors only (12th Grade) may park by the Old Gym. Every one else was assigned a parking spot when you bought your parking permit tag. You will have to move your vehicle if you are not a 12th grade Football player.

Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 12 vs. Hoxie. 

**College Fair is Tuesday,October 16 from 12:30 - 3:00 (seniors will go first, then juniors, then sophomores on the honor roll)

Jostens will be here on Wednesday, October 17 for the Jr/ Sr preview day and back on the following Wednesday, October 24 to take orders.

Parent-Teacher Conference will be Tuesday, Oct 23, from 2-8 p.m.  There will be no school on Friday, Oct 26.

Chasing the Dragon will be shown on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 1:00 for 9-11th Grade students beginning at 1:00.  

A representative from the Air National Guard will have a table set up for a lunch visit on Oct 25th.

**The ASVAB test (for juniors) is scheduled for Nov. 17.
