Jr/Sr Volleyball will play at Hoxie on Thursday dismissing at 2:00.
Tennis will be playing Thursday at Paragould and will be dismissed at 2:20.
Golf will play at Piggott on Thursday at 1:00 (Dismiss at 12:15).
Class Elections -2018-19
*The posters to run for class officers are located outside the counselor’s office.
*Your class dues must be paid in order to run for an office.
*Students must have a 2.0 GPA and may only run for one office.
*DO NOT sign another student’s name to the poster.
*You have to be signed up to run for office by the end of the day Wednesday, September 5, 2018
We will be out of school on Monday, Sept. 3 for Labor Day. Tuesday, Sept. 4 is Perfect Attendance Day for 4th nine weeks of last year. 8-12th Grade teachers have the list. Please have your teacher email Mrs. Conley if you have question about your absences. Any student not on the list who does not attend on Tuesday will be counted absent and it will count toward the next perfect attendance and semester tests.
It is time to join FCCLA! 9th through 12th graders interested in joining FCCLA see Mrs. Little. Dues are $15.00.
Those 9th-12th graders interested in helping with the Clay County Fair Youth Day on Friday September 14 must be a member of FCCLA. Dues must be paid by next Friday September 7 to be considered. See Mrs. Little to join and for more information.l
Advanced art students will be painting faces at the tail gate tomorrow night before and during the football game. The cost is $1 per cheek. Go Mohawks!
Tonight, Mohawk Football kicks off with the Jr Mohawks playing at Rector at 7:00(7th Grade playing at 5:30) and on (Tomorrow) Friday, our Sr Mohawks will play Westside at home at 7:00. Let's get it started!!!
FBLA dues are $10 and can be paid to Mrs. Peters through the end of October. Those who wish to attend Fall Conference at ASU in Jonesboro must pay their dues plus $5 registration no later than September 18.
This is a reminder for any 9th grade student who was invited to join Beta: you need to see Mrs. Coomer or Mrs. Flowers and return your forms and dues as soon as possible.
Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student who was not previously invited to join Beta who believes that he or she now has the grades to be eligible may bring a copy of his or her transcript to Mrs. Flowers by Friday, September 14.
12th, 11th, and 10th graders who previously joined Beta need to turn in their $10 dues to Mrs. Flowers or Mrs. Coomer by the end of September.
The Spanish Club will be meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 5 during activity period in Ms. Cheng's classroom #232. This is open to all 9-12 grade students who are currently in Spanish or have had 1 year of Spanish.
Any 7th or 8th grader interested in joining the Middle Level FBLA will meet in the library on Thursday during activity period.
There will be a Pep Rally on Friday during activity period in the Middle gym. Please excuse the cheerleaders at 9:10 and Sr. Band at 9:15.

Senior Composite Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
Seniors: A representative from Williams Baptist University will be here on September 24 during activity period in the library.
**The blood drive is scheduled for October 2.
Seniors: ASU representative will be here on Oct 2 during activity period in the library for seniors interested.
**College Fair is October 16 from 12:30 - 3:00 (seniors will go first, then juniors, then sophomores on the honor roll)
Jostens will be here on Wednesday, October 17 for the Jr/ Sr preview day and back on the following Wednesday, October 24 to take orders.
**The ASVAB test (for juniors) is scheduled for November 7. It will start when the bell rings for school to start and usually lasts until around 11:30.
