7th and 8th Grade Testing will be Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Teachers: please make sure that your students know where they are to report when the bell rings.  Also teachers that are covering classes for testing teachers, please make sure that your students report where they are supposed to be.

No Announcements will be read on Tuesday or Wednesday morning due to Testing. The announcements will be sent in your emails as usual.

Teachers:   Progress Reports will go out on Monday, April 16. 

Please excuse the Baseball team today at 1:20. The Bus will leave at 1:50.  Please excuse the Softball team today at 1:30. They will play a double header today beginning at 3:30.

SENIORS:  If you owe any debts to the school, such as, lunch charges, book damages or losses, fundraising debts, sports debts, etc., these must be paid by May 1.  All debts must be paid before graduation in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.  

Congratulations to Sky Wright  for placing 2nd in 100 m, Taylor Seal for placing 2nd in the 100m and 2nd in the Long Jump, Jordan Tate for 1st place in the Shot Put and Willow Lewis for 1st place in the 800 m at the Gosnell Invitational last week.  

Congratulations to Rosie Garcia for being chosen for the "You Can Make a Difference" award.  She was nominated by Ms. Mia Boren for her willingness to help with flu forms.  Rosie, you need to come to the office during activity period to pick up your award.

Congratulations to Mid-Level FBLA members Micha Harrell,  Elise Gossett, and Tyson Peters for  placomg 3rd in the state for ML Community Service Project. Tyson placed first in the state for Elevator Speech.

Teachers:  You received an email from Mrs. Peters for the Senior High FBLA members who will be out this Wednesday for the end of year trip.

The following students will be taking the PSAT on Friday, April 20th from 8:00 - 11:30 in Mrs. Penny Toomb's room: Natalie Blake, Madison Arenaz, Karla Craig, Amber Fenton, Jake Toombs, Cade Timms, Dillon Gibson, Micha Harrell, Rosie Garcia, Tyson Peters, and Cameron Collier.

All  juniors and seniors who are planning to walk during grand march to meet in the new gym during activity period on Monday April 16th. If they do not show up to practice, they will not be allowed to walk out on Friday. We will make an announcement when practice is over so teachers know when students should be returning to class!

***Seniors:  Clay Conservation District Agri Scholarship application is in Mrs. Amber's office.  Criteria includes intent to pursue a degree in agriculture.  Deadline is April 27 Turn in to Mrs. Amber.

TEACHERS: The email about Classroom Assessments refers to the ACT Aspire Classroom and Interim Assessments only. 

There will be a volleyball meeting for the Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors next Thursday the 19thVolleyball players only.

PROM Announcement:  All Seniors will be excused all day on Prom day, Friday, April 20.  Juniors will be dismissed in groups as needed by the Junior sponsors.  If a Junior is not here before they are dismissed to go to the gym or cafeteria, that person will be counted absent until that time.  Those 9th and 10th grade students who are serving will be called for by the office to go to the cafeteria when needed.  All other students will be counted absent if not at school.

"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" The Musical will be presented to the 7th-12th-grade students on Friday, April 27th at 1:00 pm. Students will turn in $1.00 to there 6th-period teachers. There will also be a concession stand open with drinks and popcorn for $1.00 each.   The musical will also be presented in the evenings on April 27 and April 28. Both nights will start at 7:00 pm and will cost $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Concession will also be available for the evening performances. 

Everyone who has personal items in the new gym or locker rooms need to remove them by Friday.  The gym will be closed for prom decorating starting Monday April 16th.

Dress Code:  Remember the length of shorts and skirts cannot be higher than the length of a dollar bill above the kneecap.  Some of us may have grown taller since last fall.  Please check your length before you leave home. Also don't forget that no spaghetti straps or strapless tops and shirts worn with leggings must be fingertip length.

Seniors:  The Piggott Elementary School Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is April 27.

Seniors:  The Kalem Rouse Memorial Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  First priority is a graduate planning to major/minor in agriculture or related field or attend a Vo-Tech program.  Deadline is April 27.

Seniors:  If you are attending Harding University, ASU Beebe, ASU Searcy or ASU Heber --- See Mrs. Amber for a Textbook Broker scholarship application.  Deadline May 31, 2018.

Seniors:  There is also a Textbook Scholarship for UCA- Conway, Central Baptist College, Conway, and UA Community College-Morrilton.  Deadline on this one is May 4, 2018.

Seniors:  If you are attending Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Textbook Brokers are awarding 4 students a full textbook rental scholarship for fall 2018. Deadline if May 4, 2018.  See Mrs. Amber or Mrs. Conley for link.
