Congratulations to the Baseball Team for defeating Walnut Ridge yesterday.

Friday, March 9 - Softball and baseball team members should report to the new gym. The girls tennis team members should also report to the new gym along with the high school members of the district's archery team. Please get over to the new gym as quickly as you can, and you are to return to your second hour class after your photos are complete.

Seniors:  Farm Credit scholarship application is available online at farmcreditmidsouth.com/community/scholarships - deadline is March 8, 2018.  You must be sponsored by a Farm Credit Midsouth customer.

**Seniors:  If you are a child, sibling, or grandchild of a veteran - the NEA Wounded Warrior scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is April 6, 2018

***SENIORS: MFA scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is March 15, 2018 

Seniors:  If you are a child or grandchild of a Farm Bureau member, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher - you can pick up a scholarship application from Mrs. Amber's office.

ANY CLAY COUNTY STUDENT IN THE 8TH-12TH GRADE IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO JOIN THE JR. FAIR BOARD. APPLICATIONS ARE PRESENTLY AT ALL OF THE SCHOOLS & ARE DUE BY MARCH 12, 2018If you have any questions you may call 870-634-6118. Thank You.

The FCM T-shirts are here.  The cost is $8.  See Mrs. Conley on Tuesday if you ordered. There will be a few extras.

**Seniors:  The Clay County Cattleman's Association scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  This is for students pursuing a degree in animal science and/or agriculture.  Deadline is April 13.

Did you forget to buy your yearbook? All yearbooks are now $45 and will be plain copies. Secure your copy of the 2018 PHS Mohawk today! See Miss V. in Room 224. 

Jostens will be here with the senior graduation supply delivery on Monday, March 26 at 9:30 am.  All balances will need to be paid in full to receive ordered items.

Junior and Senior High cheerleaders will be doing a special Easter fundraiser this year! They will be offering a basket of candy and prize filled eggs or they will do the hiding for you the night before Easter. Both options will include a special note from the Easter bunny. Let them know if you would like to place an order!

Any student planning to take the driver's test in March should see Mrs. Shamala by Thursday March 15 to get their paperwork since we will be out for Spring Break the next week. The Driver's test will be Tuesday, March 27.

***April is Child Abuse Awareness month and FCCLA would like to help make everyone aware and show support of this serious issue.   All proceeds from the t-shirt sales will be donated to the Child Help Organization. This is a service project for FCCLA, your support would be greatly appreciated. See Mrs. Little or your English Teacher for an order forms are due  Feel free to wear the t-shirt any day but we have chosen Wednesday April 11 as a day for everyone to wear the shirt.  

 Students entering 11th or 12th grade NEXT year - and are interested in the Project H.E.A.R.T. camp June 12-15, 2018 on the ASU campus in Jonesboro -see Mrs. Amber to submit an application.  Deadline is March 16.  Project HEART is an experience that can enlighten students about future career opportunities in healthcare and to the overall well-being of their community.

Lost and Found has several items that have been turned in.  If you are missing a jacket or coat, please see Mrs. Shamala or Mrs. Conley.

****Seniors:  Hannah Blankenship scholarship application is available - you must have at least a 3.0 GPA, provide proof of SAE through FFA, and submit a 500-1000 essay.  Applications are available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Deadline is April 1, 2018. 

***Seniors:  RCE Vocational Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  This is for students going to Vo Tech or a Trade school.  The application makes you eligible for one of two scholarships - $500/$2500.  Deadline is March 28, 2018.

Seniors: If you are of documentable Native American descent from a federally recognized tribe - see Mrs. Amber for scholarship application.  Documentation required.  Deadline is April 16, 2018

SENIORS:  This website allows you to see the different scholarships available to  students from schools all over the country.  LSU, SEMO, Ole Miss, Univ of Tenn, Southwest Missouri State University, etc.

Seniors:  Scholarship opportunity at www.theafoundation.org/scholarships. This is for any your artist, poet, fashion designer, performer, or filmmaker. You do not have to major in an art-related field.  This is good for any 2-yr or 4-yr college in AR.
