Spanish Club Day of the Dead fest is TODAY, Wednesday, November 29thAdmission is $5 and $1 for face painting.

Students:  Only Basketball Players will get into Basketball games free.  Football and Volleyball players must pay admission.

Students:  Blankets are not permitted in class.

***SENIORS, remember all ad materials and your ad balance must be submitted to Miss Vernon by 3:00 p.m. this Friday, December 1.

Please excuse the following students who will be out tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to the end of school:  Georgina Bautista, Maddie Vanderkooi, Jolie Owen, Jake Williams, and Scotty Garner.

Any junior or senior who is interested in being a reading mentor at elementary school please see Mrs. Natalie.

Upcoming Band Events:  The Christmas Band Concert will be Tuesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the PHS Middle Gym and Supper with Santa will be Friday, December 8 at the Piggott Community Center from 5-7 p.m. $5 per person.

FCCLA members there will be a FCCLA luncheon meeting Thursday, November 30 in the FCS room. Members must see Mrs. Little for details Teachers members will have a ticket to leave early for lunch.

There will be a FBLA meeting on Thursday during activity period in the library.

There will be a pep rally on Friday, December 1 during activity period.

There will be a Baseball meeting on Monday, Dec. 4 during activity period in Coach Rabjohn's room. Any 9th-12th grader interested in playing baseball needs to attend..

Art Club members who want to participate in Secret Santa, need to get info. forms by Wednesday from Mrs. Tate.  The Christmas party will be December 12th during activity period.  Butter Braid forms are due Friday, December 1st. Congratulations to Hannah Smart for winning the Hemmingway/Pfeiffer Christmas card contest.  Her card will be sent out to over 700 contacts all over the world.

FBLA is once again sponsoring a toys and toiletries drive for Arkansas Children's Hospital. All students and faculty are encouraged to participate. A list of requested items is posted on the office window or you can pick one up from Mrs. Peters. Please keep in mind all items must be new. Donated items will be taken to Arkansas Children's during Christmas break.

November is Prematurity Awareness Month. Last year Arkansas was moved from a grade of C to D on the Premature Birth Report Card with a 10.8 percent preterm birth rate. Please wear purple this Thursday to raise awareness of babies who are born premature. FBLA members who participate should see Mrs. Peters to receive Elevated Leader points.

Elementary Beta workers for  Thursday, November 30, are Ashlee Hill, Jaclyn Helms, Katelyn Jackson, and Austin Johnson. Students need to remember to sign in with Ms. Katina at elementary and sign in with Mrs. Sham when arriving at high school.

FCCLA members The District 3 FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference will be held at the the Jonesboro High School Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, Dec 5.  

The 4H Youth Leadership team will be having a Penny Drive to benefit a needy family for Christmas.  There will be buckets in the office, library, and Mrs. Amber's office to donate.

Jostens will be here on Friday, December 8 to deliver Junior class rings.

Seniors:  We are taking a College Day to tour BRTC-Paragould, ASU-Jonesboro and back to ASU-Paragould. The date is pending right now.  Any senior who would like to go may take a college day. If you have already used your day, you may still go but it will be an absence.  We should return by 2:30.

Seniors:  Scholarship opportunity at www.theafoundation.org/scholarships. This is for any your artist, poet, fashion designer, performer, or filmmaker. You do not have to major in an art-related field.  This is good for any 2-yr or 4-yr college in AR.

Online orders may be paid with a debit or credit card, but be aware they will have 10% sales tax collected. Students:  The new door locks are now working.  You have one minute after the tardy bell rings before the door locks re-engage.  You may have to walk around to the front doors unless you are walking in later with a teacher.  Please be diligent about getting where you are supposed to be in a timely manner.

Students:  When you arrive at school, you must come into the cafeteria.  Please do not stay in vehicles or walk off campus. Duty teachers will make room for you when you come in the doors.  Do NOT park in the VFW Building Parking Lot or by the Old Gym.

Students: Cell phones may used in the cafeteria ONLY- not in the hall way going to the cafeteria.
