Teachers:  Progress Reports grades are due Thursday, November 9.  They will be sent home on Monday, November 13.

PACE students fundraising orders will be in Tuesday. Pickup times are between 2:00-5:30 in Mrs Penny's high school room.

Congrats to the Jr High and Sr High Chess Teams for being regional runners up.

Congratulations to the Special Olympic athletes for winning seven 1st place medals, five 2nd place medals, and two 3rd place medals in the Bowling competition on Friday.

You can make a difference award recipient is Nic Maldonado. 

Any Senior High FBLA member interested in competing should see Mrs. Peters by Friday of this week.

The 4H Youth Leadership team will be having a Penny Drive to benefit a needy family for Christmas.  There will be buckets in the office, library, and Mrs. Amber's office to donate.

There will be a pep rally for the Powderpuff Football  game Tuesday morning (November 7during activity period.  Powderpuff cheerleaders & coaches dismiss at 9:00 for the pep rally. Gunner Shaw, Zac Gilbee, Alex Tharp, Mason Tillman, Spencer Hardin, James Andrews, Nicholas Maldonado, Jake Shaw, Quentin Reeves, Corbin Midkiff, Dylan West, Devin Riley, Landen Moore and Lane Buchanan. Also, Sydney Risinger, Madison Pool and Haley Zacek.

**SENIORS:  BRTC rescheduled for Wednesday, November 8 at 11:00 ,WBC will be here on Tuesday, Nov 14 @ 11:30.

November 15 is American Enterprise Day. As part of a 3-day series to raise awareness, Cody Knight from Piggott State Bank will be here Monday, November 6 during activity period in the library to discuss building and maintaining good credit.  will be Mr. Jo Cole and Mrs. Tracy Cole who will discuss legal issues that arise in starting and maintaing a small business. These sessions are open to any PHS student. FBLA members who attend will receive Elevated Leader points. 

 Thursday, November 16th is the day of the dead festival in lab between Mr. Johnson's  and Coach Rau's room. Entrance fee is 5$ and 1$ for face painting. Ask Mrs. Cheng or refer to flyer for additional information. 

Any student in grades 9-12 wanting to join Educator's Rising needs to see Mrs. McPherson. The dues are only $5.  See her today in room 213!

Seniors:  Tuesday, November 28 is BRTC preview day.  Friday, November 17 is deadline to register.  See Mrs. Amber or Ms. Rachel for more info.

It's time to Join FCCLA! Students in grades 9-12 interested in joining FCCLA are to see Mrs. Little. 

Juniors, You must pay your class dues ASAP.  See your CAPS advisor for what you owe.  November 1, 2017 was the deadline, your dues must be paid or arrangements made by this date. If you haven't paid your dues, you should see your CAPS advisor ASAP.

Organizations photos for the yearbook will be taken on Wednesday, Nov. 8Please dress appropriately. Copies of the schedule were sent to teachers' email. Please note the times your groups are having photos made and be sure you are in the new gym at the appropriate times.

Organization sponsors: Please advise if there is a specific time of day you would like your group's photos to be done. The yearbook staff will do its best to accommodate you if at all possible. At this point, first hour is full, part of second hour is full, and one slot on fourth hour is full.        ****************************************************************************  Seniors:  We are taking a College Day to tour BRTC-Paragould, ASU-Jonesboro and back to ASU-Paragould. The date is pending right now.  Any senior who would like to go may take a college day. If you have already used your day, you may still go but it will be an absence.  We should return by 2:30.

Seniors:  Scholarship opportunity at www.theafoundation.org/scholarships. This is for any your artist, poet, fashion designer, performer, or filmmaker. You do not have to major in an art-related field.  This is good for any 2-yr or 4-yr college in AR.

Seniors:  The Hagan Scholarship application is available at www.hsfmo.org - deadline is November 15, 2017.  See website for eligibility requirements.****************************************************************************Elementary Beta workers for Thursday, Nov 9 are Ericka Smart, Hannah Smart, Bailey Davis, and Shelby Howard. Students need to remember to sign in with Ms. Katina at elementary and sign in with Mrs. Shamala when arriving at high school.

Reserve your 2018 copy of The Mohawk yearbook today. A plain book is $40. A personalized book is $45, icons will be $3 each.  Signature packages are $53 and include the yearbook, one line of personalization, a color autograph section, and eight multicolor signing markers. --If you only want personalization (or personalization with icons), please enter a package price of $40 and add the $5 for personalization in the grid at the bottom. Be sure you write your name exactly as you want it engraved in the boxes on section two. 

STUDENTS: You must make a downpayment to reserve your copy of the 2018 edition of The Mohawk yearbook. NO BOOKS WILL BE ORDERED WITHOUT A PARTIAL PAYMENT. You can pay in installments and put down a downpayment .

You may also opt to order online at jostensyearbooks.com. Just search for PIGGOTT HIGH SCHOOL. Online orders may be paid with a debit or credit card, but be aware they will have 10% sales tax collected. Books ordered at high school will not have sales tax collected on them. Please make checks payable to Piggott High School. The yearbook staff and Miss Vernon thank you in advance for your continued support of our publication.

Jostens will be here on Friday, December 8 to deliver Junior class rings. 

*****************************************************************************FBLA will sell cookies at the beginning of 7th period  on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays to classrooms. Cookies are still $.75 each. We may not make it to every class every time we sell, but will alternate to make sure we get to every class at least once each week. 

Students:  The new door locks are now working.  You have one minute after the tardy bell rings before the door locks re-engage.  You may have to walk around to the front doors unless you are walking in later with a teacher.  Please be diligent about getting where you are supposed to be in a timely manner.

Do not knock loudly on or pull on the outside doors.  The doors are being damaged.  You will be responsible for any damages to the doors plus suspension.

Students:  When you arrive at school, you must come into the cafeteria.  Please do not stay in vehicles or walk off campus. Duty teachers will make room for you when you come in the doors.  Do NOT park in the VFW Building Parking Lot or by the Old Gym.

Students: Cell phones may used in the cafeteria ONLY- not in the hall way going to the cafeteria.
