Perfect Attendance Day is next Tuesday, Sept. 5.  Please check the list to verify your attendance for last year, 4th nine weeks.

Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Scholarship application is available online at scholars.horatioalger.org  - the eligibility criteria is online also. Deadline is October25, 2017

There is a FREE ACT Webinar available this weekend. This class normally costs $199 but will be offered as a webinar to students who want to improve their ACT scores. See Mrs. Amber, Mrs. Conley, or Miss Dowdy for help in signing up. Times for the webinar are as follows:

  1. Sat, Sep 2, 2017 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
  2. Sun, Sep 3, 2017 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
  3. Sun, Sep 3, 2017 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CDT

There will be a CAPS meeting this Thursday, August 31 to discuss dues and vote for class officers.

Teachers:  You received an email with the FCCLA  and Orientation to Teaching students who will be out on Thursday, August 31.

For students who are 16 or older,  Sonic has left some cards in the office for you if you would like to apply for the new Sonic here in Piggott.

 We will be having a pep rally Friday during activity period in the new gym.Please excuse the Sr. Cheerleaders and Sr. Band at 9:10 and the Sr Football and Volleyball Players at 9:20.

The Pep Club will be selling Spirit Ribbons on Friday to support the Football Team. Price will be 25c this week.  Also we have Mohawk tattoos for 50 c.          See Mrs. Conley. 

There will be a PACE Meeting for all PACE students, not just GT Seminar students on Thursday, Sept. 7 during activity period in Mrs. Penny Toomb's room.

Students in Mrs. Little FCS Classes last year. If you would like your sewing supplies from last year come by the FCS room at activity period or between classes to pick them up by this Friday Sept. 1.

Any junior or senior who believes he or she should be in Beta may bring a copy of his or her transcript to Mrs. Flowers in room 225 by Friday, Sept. 1 for consideration.

Those interested in running for a FCCLA Office must pay your dues and sign up by Tuesday September 5.  Elections will be the following Thursday.

It's time to Join FCCLA! Students in grades 9-12 interested in joining FCCLA are to see Mrs. Little.

 Any Beta who would like to apply for an office may see Mrs. Flowers or Mrs. Coomer for an application. Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 1.

Juniors, You must pay your class dues ASAP.  See your CAPS advisor for what you owe.  November 1, 2017 is the deadline, your dues must be paid or arrangements made by this date.

**The Beta Club, Advanced Topics class, and ALE JAG will be conducting a penny drive for the relief fund for the flood victims in Houston who are suffering from Hurricane Harvey.  These students will have cans in which you may donate extra pennies.  Any amount is welcome.  Every cent counts.  On Thursday, a coin jar will be present in each CAPS meeting.  The CAPS group who raises the most will be recognized at Friday's pep rally.

Students interested in joining Senior High FBLA should see Mrs. Peters. Dues are $10 and must be paid by September 22 if you wish to attend Fall Conference in Jonesboro.

 Josten's will be her Wednesday, October 11 at 9:00 for Senior Graduation Supply and Junior Ring presentations.  They will return the next Wednesday, October 18 to take the Jr. and Sr. orders.

Any 7th Grade or new student that has not had his/her hand scanned yet for the cafeteria should see Mrs. Tammy before school, before 9:00 a.m. for athletes, or at the end of lunch after everyone has gone through the line.  This will make the lunch lines move much faster.  Thank you.

There have been several backpacks and lunch bags/boxes turned into the office. Please see Mrs. Shamala if you have lost or misplaced yours.

Students:  When you arrive at school, you must come into the cafeteria.  Please do not stay in vehicles or walk off campus. Duty teachers will make room for you when you come in the doors.

Students:  Do NOT park in the VFW Building Parking Lot.
