REPORTS CARDS FOR 1ST SEMESTER GO HOME TODAY, THURSDAY, JAN. 9

**There will be a Junior High (7th and 8th Grade) Baseball meeting for any boy interested on Thursday, Jan. 9 in Coach Rabjohn's room #239 during activity period.

**There will be a Softball meeting on Thursday during activity period in the Middle Gym.

Congratulations to Coach Paul Seegraves for being named 2019-20 Boys Tennis Coach of the Year by the Arkansas High School Activities Association. Coach Seegraves is now eligible for the National Coach of the Year. Way to go, Coach Seegraves! We are proud of you.

The Success Card Drawing will be Friday.  You can turn in your success cards to your teacher or to Mrs. Conley for the drawing.  You may also use them in your classes or redeem them for items in the library from Mrs. Natalie.

UPDATE: New Design--Basketball Homecoming Shirts will be sold through Friday, Jan. 10.  Forms were sent out or you can pick one up in the High School Office.  See your English teacher or Mrs. Little.  There is a sample posted on the Bulletin Board in the back hallway.

This Friday, Jan. 10 is the last day to register without late fees for the February 8 ACT. This test will not given at PHS.

Students interested in applying for the "Future Agents in Training" classes, see Mrs. Amber.  The classes will be April 10, 17, and 24th in Fort Smith, AR.  Applications are due Feb 6.  You must be 16 years old to enroll.

Jr and Sr High Chess practice begins on Tuesday, January 7th immediately after school in Ms. Penny Toombs room until 4:15. 

FCCLA meeting Wednesday, January 15 in the FCS room during activity period for all FCCLA members. 

**Class officer pictures for the yearbook will be Friday beginning at 9:15 and during activity period in the library. Jr Class Officers will be taken first due to Prom meeting. Officers should dress appropriately for yearbook.

There will be a Jr Class Officer meeting on Friday during activity period in Mrs. Conley's room #214.  Officers are Brooke Roberts, Hunter Smith, Destini Chase, Emma Shaw, and Morgan Smart.

FBLA Middle Level members will meet in the New Gym tomorrow, Friday, January 10 during activity period for a picture.

A representative from Williams Baptist University will be here on Jan 29 during activity period in the library for seniors and juniors interested in attending that college.

The Beta yearbook picture will be taken in the new gym on Tuesday, January 21.

There are 13 students who will be are going to the state Beta convention and will be out all day on Thursday and Friday, January 23 and 24.  Madison Arenaz, Taylor Blackwell, Emberleigh Clenney, Shianne Higdon, Tessa Holcomb, Kassidy Krause, Shawnee Latimer, Taylor Seal, Skylar Stone, Jake Toombs, Lily Wagster, Olivia Woolard, and Rebecca Woolery.

SENIORS:  Class Meeting NEXT Tuesday during activity period.  All Seniors are required to attend.

The following FBLA members will take their competitive event objective tests next Monday, January 13, beginning at 9:25 a.m. in the High School Library. SPORTS THIS WEEK:  Thursday - Jr/Sr Boys Basketball at Walnut Ridge. Please dismiss at 2:40.  Friday-  Jr/Sr Girls and Boys Basketball will play home vs. Rivercrest beginning at 4:00.

Reminder from Mr. Seegraves:  Pajama bottoms, pajama tops, house shoes, and blankets are  NOT permitted per student handbook.

LOST AND FOUND: There are several items that have been turned in to the office.  If you are missing a jacket or other item, please check in the office ASAP.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Feb 17 and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
