Students:  Only cheerleaders should be in the cheer locker room and no one should be playing on the mats.

LOST AND FOUND: There are several items that have been turned in to the office.  If you are missing a jacket or other item, please check in the office ASAP.

JUNIE B CAST: Do not forget you have practice from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room 224. Practices will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Art Club members participating in Secret Santa make sure to remember to buy your gift for your person. --Art Club will work on boxes for parade Thursday from 6-8, and possibly late Friday night. Sign up for work time on artboard.

The Art Club Christmas party will be Tuesday, December 17th during activity period for all members.  There is a sign up sheet on the artboard outside the Mrs. Tate's room. Faculty and staff are invited to the annual Christmas party sponsored by the Art Club in the library on December 19th during both lunches. Hope everyone's been good this year!

Senior High and Middle Level FBLA Members: Don’t forget your donation to be able to attend the Christmas party! Donations MUST be brought to Mrs. Peters by the end of the day TODAY, THURSDAY, December 12! 

Holiday Band Concert this Sunday, December 15th at 2pm in the PHS Middle Gym.  There will be performances from the 7th Grade Beginning Band, 8th Grade Band, High School Band, Jazz Band, as well as performances from a couple of small groups.  

Jr. high/Sr. High Girls Basketball will meet in the New Gym during activity period.

There will be Softball meeting on Monday during activity period in the New Gym for any girl in grades 9-12 who is interested in playing this year.

FBLA Members (Senior High and Middle Level): Our Holiday party will be on Monday, December 16 in the High School library during lunch. All members MUST see Mrs. Peters for more information and to pick up your ticket to attend no later than Wednesday, December 11.

FCCLA members: We will have our December meeting as a luncheon meeting/Secret Santa Reveal on Tuesday December 17th in the FCS room during 2nd lunch.  Members will be required to bring a dish, sign up sheet will be in Mrs. Little's room.  Teachers, only members with the Early to Lunch ticket will be allowed to leave 5th hour 5 mins. early that day. Members who have 1st lunch see Mrs. Little for arrangements.

Reminder from Mr. Seegraves:  Pajama bottoms, pajama tops, house shoes, and blankets are  NOT permitted per student handbook.

Holiday Spirit Week/Food Drive *** December 9 - 13

Thursday – Deck Our Halls: wear your favorite holiday accessory – holiday hat, red and green, a holiday character, festive jewelry, light up your wardrobe with lights, etc……

Friday – “Polar Express Day” - Wear school appropriate pajamas and slippers.

We will have a food drive during this week also. We will be collecting canned foods and nonperishable food items. We will be having a competition to see what grade level can collect the most items. A can will count as 1 item, boxes and packages count as 1 item. Do not separate fruit snacks, cereal bars, etc. The food collected will be used for our Food Backpack program and holiday food boxes for families.

MICROWAVES IN THE CAFETERIA - Students please wipe out the microwaves in the cafeteria after using.  This is not the cafeteria workers responsibility.  If you use the microwaves, please help us to be able to keep them by doing your part. Thank you.

Davis Scholarship” - The creators of the “Student Award Search Aid” website are offering a scholarship for 2020.  Please visit our website at http://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm to read about us and to apply for our scholarship.  While you’re there, please browse through the rest of the site to learn more about applying for scholarships.  Our website was developed solely for the purpose of helping students locate and apply for scholarships.  We are trying to improve the students’ chances for success.  The site is free and we charge nothing for the information or the application.  The deadline for applications is May 22, 2020 ----Amount of Scholarship:  $1,000  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at awards@studentawardsearch.com

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Click on link below for application packet for (NSPMA). NSPMA Scholarship 2020  

Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

 Seniors:  SEMO is hosting  Show Me Days on Feb 17 and March 28.  You can register at semo.edu/showmeday

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
