Congratulations to the Jr High and Sr High Boys and Girls for defeating Armorel last night.

LOST AND FOUND: There are several items that have been turned in to the office.  If you are missing a jacket or other item, please check in the office ASAP.

Progress reports go home Thursday, Nov. 21.  TEACHERS: All grades should be in the computer by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Perfect Attendance day for 1st nine weeks is this Friday, November 22.  The English teachers have the lists.  Remember that a failing grade at progress reports can keep you from getting the P.A. day. If you have questions about your attendance, please ask your English teacher or Mrs. Conley ASAP.

Any 7-8 grade FBLA Middle Level member who wants to compete MUST see Mrs. Peters by the end of the day today!

Any senior high FBLA member who wants to help decorate the court square gazebo should also see Mrs. Peters by the end of the day today.

The Art Club will have a meeting on Wednesday, November 20 in the art room.  All members need to see Mrs. Tate before the meeting.

The following Entrepreneurship students will be attending the ASU Entrepreneurship Conference this Thursday, November 21. DRAMA CLUB: Your permission slips for the ELF trip were due YESTERDAY. Please let Miss Vernon know if you have changed your mind about going.  Also pick up audition materials for Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook if you are interested. Auditions will be right after school Wednesday and Thursday afternoon this week (Nov. 20 & 21).

The Department of English and World Languages is sponsoring its 46th annual Creative Writing Scholarship Contest! Eligibility: Any high school senior is eligible. The Award: Six scholarships worth as much as $1,500 will be awarded. These scholarships may be used to pursue any degree program at Arkansas Tech, including the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing offered in Arkansas. Submission Process: To enter, send a poem, a small group of poems, a short story, a novel chapter, or a piece of dramatic writing to the address provided below. The U.S. Department of State's Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for undergraduate child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Seniors:  Williams Baptist University is offering a Williams Works program.  This is a work initiative starting next fall at Williams Baptist University that will cover the cost of education and give you the opportunity to graduate debt free.  The student needs to apply for admissions and the Williams Works program. The minimum ACT is a 19 and they must have their FAFSA complete by January.

Seniors:  If you are a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of an American Legionnaire.  Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member.  Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible.  See Mrs. Amber for an application.  Application and documents must be received by March 13, 2020.
